Pours murky dark orange with a good sized beige head. The aroma has piney / grapefruit hoppiness, modest sweetness, caramel malt and light must. It has a medium body that’s fairly smooth for an IPA and has fairly light carbonation. The flavor begins with caramel malt, modest sweetness piney / earthy hops and some berry like fruitiness. The finish add a bit of grapefruit, more malt and a grape-like fruitiness that lingers on the tongue. This is a good IPA, but far more malt forward than I was expecting. phaleslu (10668) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Cask pour in the Real Ale Tent at GTMW 2013. Pours a cloudy gold with big cream-colored bubbles that settle quickly. Notes of sweet malts, pineapple, mellow citrus fruits, bread, and a hint of fresh pine. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation from the cask treatment and a smooth mouthfeel for the same reason. Nice single-hop IPA. kwoeltje (2234) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - AUG 17, 2013
(tap) orange gold with small white head. Aroma of light citrus/light fruit. Flavor is light fruits/citrus with some pine. Not too bitter for an IPA. Haven’t tried it on nitro yet.
