Aroma is dark malts, earthy and mild chocolate. The flavor is dark malts, fruit/berries, dryish in the middle and a mix of slight sweetness, sour and acidity in the finish.

Cheers to Greg Wilson for this: a 500ml bottle, broached on 30th May 2016 while on holiday in California. Very dark brown bodied with a tanned topping, looked impressive in the large Leffe chalice I poured it into. Dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice in both the aroma and taste, dry and far from sweet in nature. A decent try at a UK style Porter.

Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - MAY 11, 2016
Pours a very clean, dark black color with a very compact, cream color head with great staying power. Aroma is nutty, with lots of brown malt, light roasted nose and a slight raisin hint. Flavor is well balanced between brown malt early in the sip and a pronounced raisiny finish. Light combo of coffee and chocolate but really just a touch. Body is very thin with pretty low amounts of carbonation. Overall a good brew but just a tad bit too thin for the palate.

craighill (106) - GERMANY - AUG 30, 2015
Bottle pours a deep chestnut, ruby brown beer with a pillowy beige three-finger head. Aroma is dark chocolate, leather, dark red fruits, and quite present herbal hop notes. Taste first mixes liquorice with punchy hop bitterness, before a dry coca powder bomb goes off. Dry finish calls for more. Good.

Tap at beergeek, prague. Almost black color, hint of red. Aroma has rich rosty notes, coffee, licorice. Smooth, coffee, some nut notes. Little bit too weak.
