On tap at the brewpub. Comes a hazy pale gold with a decent white head. Aroma of malt and grass. Taste is malt, grass, and spice. Very nice Pilsener! phaleslu (10547) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Draft at The Fortune Teller Bar, served in a pint glass. Pours a somewhat cloudy yellow-gold with a finger of white head that stays around for a while. Aroma of pils malt, crackers, grass, mellow pepper, and bread. The flavor starts about the same but wore me down. It became increasingly bitter and there was something off-putting about it; a little cheesy. Medium-bodied, heavy for the style, with medium carbonation. Not bad, but I wouldn’t want more than a sample size of this one. vyvvy (6638) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Pours pale hazy yellow with a nice sized rocky head. The aroma has clean lightly bready pils malt, fresh cut grass and spice. Pretty well balanced aroma. Medium light body that is crisp, but has a bit of smoothness to it and has gentle carbonation for the style. Starts like the aroma, but a touch drier and more peppery spice. There is also a hint of mintiness that is probably something I’m getting from the hops. The finish show more of the grassiness and a tingle of spice stays on the tongue. A trace of sulfur peeks through at the end. Urban Chestnut should be required to always have a pilsner on tap. They do a fantastic job with them - another winner here. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - FEB 3, 2013
(sample at Wolpertinger and tap at tasting room) Hazy light gold with white head. Light grassy hops aroma. Flavor is crisp, nice malt, grassy/hay hops fairly light.
