COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer is a classic Maerzen - malty yet well balanced. A touch stronger and just a hint darker in color compared to what is being served at Oktoberfest in Munich. Our fest bier has a tale and tail of its own. The name for this traditional Oktoberfest beer is Bavarian in origin and translates as "tail of a squirrel".

Draft pint in a plastic cup (I've had before from a can and bottle into a glass too). Copper in color, translucent beer with a rich caramel malt nose. Body has some heft to too, so a little syrupy, but not extreme for the style. Toasty and smoothly sweet, this is traditional autumnal fest lager.

Can at home got in the Oktoberfest fever of things. Chestnut pour. Nose is slight sweet malty. Tastes of carame, malt, peppery, hint of earth, bready. Slightly sweet. Crisp. Good stuff

Pours a nice golden amber from a can with a nice thick head. Rich bready aroma, similar flavor with some nice spicy noble hop notes, sweet but not cloying, well-balanced. Pretty good beer.

Clean malty aroma, a bit one dimensional. Great looking dark amber color. Not just sweetness, it has some hops, spice and booze. Dense palate that is surprising for the style. I liked this a lot. Little old St. Louis crushing a traditional German style.

From a 16 oz can poured in an English Pint. Pours clear Light Brown. Aroma is malty and nutty. Flavor is more of the same, nice well crafted full-bodied yet easy-drinking oktoberfest beer. Nice.

16.9 oz bottle . Pours is copper with a soapy, white head. The aroma has some light bread. It has a light, watery texture with average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a slightly dry finish.

Aroma is oak, big fruit and malts. The flavor is malts, oak, fruit, light citrus, very mild smokiness and a mix of tart and bitter/sweet in the finish.

Bottle. Amber/orange body with a fizzy, white head. Aroma of toasted grain, cookie and a hint of plastic and moth balls. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Taste of bready malts, light floral hops.

It poured a brownish color with a white head. The aroma was of leather and toasted malts. It had a medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. The taste was of sweet notes with a nice sweet finish of moderate duration. Not bad.

Slightly darker in color compared to other Marzen’s I’ve had recently, above average head and lively carbonation. Delicious roasted base malts makes this beer standout. Chewy palate and toasted aroma but overall well balanced beer. All the ingredients mingle extremely well together. Well Done!
