Watery dark brown pour, thin white head. Not much nose at all. Mild coffee flavor, smooth body. Nothing special. DiarmaidBHK (6187) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 23, 2015
Draft at taproom. Pours coca cola brown with a thick khaki head. Leaves some lacing in glass. Big roasted malt notes on the nose. Little thin on the tongue. There’s some solid roasted malt if you look for it. Finished clean. I wish it tasted as bold as it smelled though it’s still a solid example of the style. Had on tap at their place. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasty. Very dry. Some coffee. Really nice.

On draft at brewery. Poured a deep brown with a finger of dense tan head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee with a hint of toffee and maybe some herbal hop scent. Taste is roasty with a bit of sweetness and some coffee and cocoa flavors. Finishes dry but with a very slight bitterness from the roast. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a medium/full body and light/medium carbonation. Good Irish stout that is true to style, with nice flavors. Draft at Urban Chestnut. Pours deep brown, near black with a tan head. Nose is strongly roasty, toasty & nutty with some herbal hops. On tasting, dry and clean with more roast to dry it out and a bit of a tangy aspect that befits it. Great Dry stout.

On tap at the brewery. Beautiful dark brown with thick light tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, earth, and a touch of caramel. Nice flavor but I find the mouth feel a little thin. seymour (2127) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Tasted on tap at the brewery in a nonic pint glass. It poured a predictable opaque black with HUGE beige foam, absolutely everlasting, with a full curtain of lace which covered the glass as it was drunk down. 100% true to style Irish stout characteristics, and a really really good one at that. ROASTY, toasty, bready, fruity. A subtle hoppy balance, some grain bitterness, a nice tartness. Medium body and carbonation, smooth and creamy, almost "chewy" mouthfeel. Dark and delicious aftertaste with a dry finish. Another great one from Urban Chestnut. RobertDale (7133) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAR 27, 2013

Pours dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, caramel, toffee, and a touch of bread. Flavors of roasted malts, chocolate, and some caramel. Finishes dry and roasty. Average stout. phaleslu (11074) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 10, 2012
Pours a hazy, deep brown color with a small, creamy, lasting beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, cream, and dusty wood- very dry and roasty. Gritty, too. Flavor of roasted malts, chocolate, toasted sugar, nuts, and caramel. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a roasty, dry mouthfeel. Very good dry stout.
