This was sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Pours a clear amber with an off white head. Nose of roasted caramel malts ad dark fruit and orange peel. Medium body. Flavor is rich malts and citrus hops. Finishes mildly bittier. Easy drinking for all that ABV. theisti (4273) - Kansas, USA - JUL 5, 2017
16.9 oz bottle purchased at Lukas Liquors in Overland Park, Kansas as part of the Urban Chestnut collaboration mix pack. The pour is a clear copper brown with a fizzy one inch tan head that is lasting. The aroma is floral yeast along with darker fruit malt sweetness. The taste is a clean nutty malt, yeast floral notes and and crisp sweet malt behind. Clean and interesting. The palate is light to medium bodied with a high level of active carbonation and a clean yeast, sweet malt finish. Masks the 9% exceptionally well. Nicely done. Pours deep wine red hue with a small dizzy slightly lack head and no lacing. There is no way this is 9%. Way too thin looking. Nose is spicy dark fruits lite ester and caramel. Flavors exhibit all belgian dark fruit malts lots of dry reasons plums and some husky toasted malt. Beer is very easy to drink of it is that high of abv. Very toasted amber malts on the finish very sharp and complex. Best beer of the box. Patrickctenchi (6862) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 11, 2017
Hazed, red-brown with a short tan head.

Really nice.... shrubber85 (11806) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 28, 2017
Bottle. Chocolate caramel malt and fresh hay aroma. Dark copper color with giant tan head. Moderately sweet chocolate caramel malt and moderately bitter, astringent green hay flavor. Good body. Decent, straight forward beer.

Poured from Germanic brown liter bottle into pub glass, a clear reddish brown, no head. Malty, caramelly sticky-sweet, very spicy reminiscent of coriander, black pepper, clove and/or grains of paradise. Subtle noble hop balance with lots of residual sweetness in finish.Medium-heavy body, moderate carbonation, big mouthfeel. Described as a Belgian Dubbel with Zwickel lager yeast. Seemed more like a Unibroue Christmas brew than any kind of lager. Unusual, pretty tasty. Braudog (6979) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 15, 2017
Draft at the Manchester brewpub. Dark, blackish-red. Interestingly light to drink despite a big, malty nose. Well rounded sugary malt base, but not obtuse. Good schtuff! (#6604, 5/15/2017) JStax (7457) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAY 12, 2017
500 ml bottle from phaleslu. Thanks! The beer is a clear amber with a beige head of foam. The aroma is doughy, spice, and grassy. Grainy and earthy taste. There is a nice spice, like maybe rye was involved. Big body and medium to high carbonation. commonmac (1404) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 5, 2017
Tap at Busters with commonshawn. As always this bar delivers an incredible beer list. Beautiful amber brown color with an off white head. Nose brings to mind Belgian dark fruits with a sugary lean. Taste is delicious. A sweetness coming through in the form of caramel and sugary, almost toffee. A solid representation of the style with a distinctive Belgian twist brought forth by the yeast. Drinkability is high despite an elevated ABV. Malty and, again, delicious. Hard to find a better doppelbock produced on American soil. commonshawn (1366) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 5, 2017
Tap at busters with commonmac. Light ruby brown with medium white head. Sugary nose. Taste is heavy yeast, some raisin. Really good. Full body, nice finish. Delicious .
