Yay!! rye barrel aged beer in my local pub kaschk! The head is good, the body chestnut brown. It smells nicely bourbon, sweet-chocolate praline like, bit raisins. The taste is rye, whiskey, very intensive fruity-fermented-raisin-plum, Decent alcoholic. Pretty! BrewBoxer (2653) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 15, 2015

Brown, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of bourbon, some coconut, some vanilla, nuts, dried fruits, some booze.
Taste follows this, with some more cappuccino like smooth coffee and some chocolate.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter-sweet, a bit dry, with toffee, bourbon, alcohol and quite long-lasting barrel notes.
Tasty! Really smooth for this style, well balanced and beautifully showcasing the barrel aging, without getting too boozy. Pleasant.

This is a seriously tasty beer. It has an iced tea honey whiskey aroma and murky dark brown color. The flavor is light on the whiskey with hints of coffee and brown sugar. You have to try it. drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - JAN 28, 2015

Bottle @ home, via the rot box, thanks to jcnielsen for sending a while back. Pours a hazy, dark orangish brown appearance with a brown head. Spicy oak, vanilla, heavy coconut, caramel, and spices in the nose. Barrel forward flavor. A bit heavy on the booze. High sweetness and moderate sweetness. Lots of coconut and brown sugar in the flavor. Finishes a little boozy. Solid, chill beer. snoworsummer (5917) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 12, 2014
