Bottle. Pours a dark murky brown color, fizzy with a little tan head. Aroma is sweet, caramel and brown sugar, fruity, with some whiskey notes. Taste is heavy on the whiskey with some sweet candy and dark fruit flavors as well. Medium bodied with a lot of alcohol burn and light carbonation.
Bottle, been saving for a while. It poured a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was of bread, caramel, some brown sugar and nuts. The taste was sweet, with brown sugar, apple, nuts and caramel. Good stuff. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 30, 2015
Yay!! rye barrel aged beer in my local pub kaschk! The head is good, the body chestnut brown. It smells nicely bourbon, sweet-chocolate praline like, bit raisins. The taste is rye, whiskey, very intensive fruity-fermented-raisin-plum, Decent alcoholic. Pretty! BrewBoxer (2632) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 15, 2015

Brown, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of bourbon, some coconut, some vanilla, nuts, dried fruits, some booze.
Taste follows this, with some more cappuccino like smooth coffee and some chocolate.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter-sweet, a bit dry, with toffee, bourbon, alcohol and quite long-lasting barrel notes.
Tasty! Really smooth for this style, well balanced and beautifully showcasing the barrel aging, without getting too boozy. Pleasant.
