Nice thick head. Dry finish. Does a good job of hiding higher ABV. Nice drink

50 cl bottle.
Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Very malty on the nose, some rye, faint granola, mild hops and wood. Way too malty and woody flavor, some hop notes also, Not what I was expecting.

500 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy orange amber colour with a small head. Aroma of floral notes, some herbal notes, earth and grains. Flavour of fresh floral hops, grains, resin, pine and mild berryish notes. Medium bodied and a dry, piney, resiny finish. Quite sweet. Finishes bitter, piney and sweet. Good drinkability. Quite interesting hop profile.

16.9 oz bottle purchased at Lukas Liquors in Martin City, Missouri. The label states that the bottled date is printed on the neck of the bottle, though I was unable to see a date. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a well formed two inch off white head. The aroma is tropical fruit citrus, mango, pineapple, and some bready malt. Fresh and clean nose. The taste is the tropical citrus fruits up front, bright and clean, layered nicely on top of the clean cracker bread malt backbone. The flavors play together nicely. The palate is medium bodied, natural carbonation and a clean finish. The 8.1% is masked beautifully in this beer - it avoids the lingering sweet trap that so many DIPAs fall into. Very tasty.

Euro bomber from Lukas. Holy mackerel! This seems heavier than it is. Sticky sweet with a bombastic hop blast. Smells a bit tinny, but not bad. Poured into pint glass carefully yet created a spectacular 3 inch buttery frosting in the glass that I almost considered nose-greasing. Settle down, I said almost. Tastes strong, but I like it. Can’t be an every day beer, but I’m glad I tried this while I’m here.

Bottle. Pours hazy goldenorange in color with an off-white head. Citrus fruityness, orange peel and marmalade sweetness in aroma. There’s some floral notes, well actually leaning to some perfume notes on the nose too. Malty sweetness and lemony notes in taste and at the same time it feels quite creamy with some additional notes coming from apricots and mangos. After that there’s some grassy bitterness in finish.

Big thanks to Gerhard for providing the bottle for our tasting. Huge foamy white head to an unclear amber coloured body. Spotty lacing. Aroma of bitter fruitiness, hints of lemon and peach. Malt-fruity flavours, bread, earth, nuts and citrus. Smooth on the swallow. Mostly hidden alcohol. Well bodied (Grand tasting at the balcony, Fässla, Bamberg 12.10.2014).

Delt flaske 500ml på balkongrating på Fässla, Bamberg 11 Okt 14. Aprikosfarget. Aroma av fersken & annen frukt. Smaken er bra balansert. Gress & sitrus. Alkoholen kan anes.

Really nice beer. Not too overpowering considering the high abv. Nice finish and an easy drinker. I wish I was in the local market to get this beer on demand.

b3shine (8873) - Indiana, USA - OCT 18, 2014
Draft to taster at the Midtown Biergarten. Looks good; a transparent golden orange that dissipates into lacing pretty quickly. Smells malty and hoppy (in that order). Mildly bittersweet and boozy. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Unoffensive, but underwhelming.
