500 ml bottle. Medium gold color topped by a large foamy white head. Nice clinging lace. Grainy malt aroma has hints of lemon and fresh baked bread. Crisp grainy sweet malt flavor upfront. Aroma and taste of bread, light malts and some hops. Nothing special and boring though refreshing. andyhwcinc (1886) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2016
Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a nice Monday late winter evening. Appearance is a pale yellow with a robust white head. Aroma mostly of lager yeast. Taste goes down nice and crisp with a yeasty profile. Not bad. MetalNHopHead (2275) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - MAR 1, 2016
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2017 Urban Chestnut’s Zwickel tastes like it arrived straight from Germany. Bread-like lager yeast, sweet grains, and lingering corn in the finish. Light-bodied feel with plenty of carbonation. Not hugely complex, but enjoyable and true to the style.
