UPDATED: JUN 17, 2011 Draft at the brewpub served in one of their steins (Wasandis is also served in this), so I didn’t get a great look at the color looked like a slightly cloudy yellow-gold, and there was an uneven white head. Aroma of grassy hops, straw, butter, bready and pale malts, and yeast. Flavor followed suit for the most part, getting sweeter, maltier, and more buttery as it went down and warmed. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a grainy, malty mouthfeel. Don’t know a whole lot about this style but it was nice and easy to drink. RE-RATE: Had it again at The Royale. This is still not a style I know much about but this is a great, sessionable beer. I’d like to try more Z/K/Ls for comparison because I don’t think they’d beat this. (bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Yeasty, malty, slightly biscuity and doughy aroma with herbal and subtle fruity hops. Mildly bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft malty base with hints of biscuit, white bread, backed by a mildly herbal-spicy hoppy touch; dry-ish mildly malty and slightly hop bitter finish with doughy and subtle grainy spots. Likeable. 27.IV.15 DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 30, 2014
Taster at Upland Sourfest. From a bottle. Clear golden color. Thin off-white head. Couple dots of lace. Wow. Awesome clean bready aroma, very satisfying. Full-bodied, yet refreshing. Awesome change of pace from the 100 sours today. Good mild bitter, moderate sweet. Badass Zwickel. Want to session this. arminjewell (9635) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - SEP 27, 2014
Pour on tap at the brewery, slightly hazy yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of grass, bread, biscuit, nice honey, hints of floral and spicy notes. Taste is a mix of grass, bread, biscuit, nice crisp crackery notes, some floral notes, finishing dry, clean. Nice version. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - FEB 26, 2015
Euro2-bottle from Bierpost. Hazy deep golden with a persistent white head. Dry hoppy nose. Light-bodied, good malty start with a nice yeasty-fruity touch and some dry, slightly dusty and also slightly resiny herbal hops in the finish. Good beer and true to the style.

bottle. lightly hazed golden body and white head. sourish and sweet lemon, wheat, bread dough, spice / herbs, etc., but all with noticeable cooked corn DMS, very sulfuric, fizzy, acidic, etc. nice to see them try a zwickl, and you can tell they’re getting the foundation close, but the off-flavors and aromas are difficult to take. douglas88 (9174) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 5, 2013

Draft to pils glass. Looks solid; a transparent gold with foamy white head. Smells of lager yeast and mild hops. Tastes like it smells with more of a yeast presence. A bit mineraly as well. Average on the palate. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.
