reggiedunlop (3717) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Pours a very pale clear pale yellow with a quickly dissipating thi white head. Aroma has slightly tart apple and bourbon...touch of vanilla. Flavor had a bit of barnyard funk and tart apple before mild bourbon, oak, and vanilla creep in. Mouthfeel is light and the finish has tart apple with a hint of bourbon and dry oakiness.

Jow (3896) - New York, USA - JUN 16, 2016
Bottle at home. Fine hazy blonde cider. Nose is tart Apple some wood and white wine. Tastes of tart green apple, touch of sugary apple juice, oak, some vanilla, white wine. Tart and sweet. Not really any bourbon to speak of.

Drake (13637) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 11, 2015
LSAT Freedom Trip #125. Keg at the cidery. Clear very pale yellow. Aroma of dry apples, caramel, whiskey. The taste is tart apples, mild vanilla and wood. Thin bodied, mild lingering tartness.

DiarmaidBHK (4783) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 3, 2015
Draft at Novare Res. Pours golden with no head. Smells like apple on the nose. Has a bit of the barrel influence on the tongue but not nearly as pronounced as I was hoping for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is sweet like straw and. Appearance is pale, cloudy finish. citrus, lemon, with some nice oak, astringent metal mid flavor finish with some tartness at the end. very lightly carbonated, Body is a bit light and doesn’t seem to carry very long in the mouth. Overall I like the beginning feel and taste but leaves me wanting more complexity for the mid and finish.

JBPortland (1542) - Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA - FEB 18, 2014
750ml bottle pours cloudy pale straw yellow with no head. Nose is musty slightly tart apple and traces of oak. Taste is oaky dry apple slices, some white wine grape notes, bits of lemon lime citrus, subtle barrel character. Finish is dry apple with a little bit of sweet tartness and nice soft woody tones. Enjoyable and refreshing.

nimbleprop (8278) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 13, 2013
On tap at Meridian Pint’s DC Beer Week Cider Event. Pours a clear, bright, lime green. Looks like albarino wine, zero head. Nose of apples, some sour mash, lime, a touch of booze, white grape. Flavor is great, apples, white grape, saw dust, lime. Lightly sweet finish.

Location: Draft at Cornerstone (Ogunquit, not College Park, sorry Kramer!), 7/11/13

Aroma: The nose is what you’d expect, apple, some booze, and oak
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear golden color with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is apple and oak, it is semi-tart and not particularly sweet in this style
Palate: The body is fairly light and it has a lively carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was an interesting one. The oaking worked nicely, but stays fairly subtle. It isn’t very sweet for the style. It is pretty unique.

Boutip (6312) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 31, 2012
Bottle: Poured a light yellow color cider with strong carbonation. Aroma consists of fresh medium sweet apple with some light oak notes. Taste is also dominated by medium sweet apple juice notes with light oak notes and bourbon notes are even more subtle. Interesting and makes me want to try other cider form those guys.

pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2012
33cl bottle purchased at the source, freshly labeled... Pours a pale, mostly clear, straw yellow hue and topped with a thin soapy white head... Vanilla and bourbon pretty abundant in the aroma with a soft cussed base which is fairly subtle compared to the amount of bourbon imparted the cider by the barrel... Flavors are more of the same with a firm bourbon presence that overwhelms the semi-dry and lightly crisp cider base. Lighter bodied with a light airy tartness and semi-lively carbonation. A little too over-barreled for its own good.
