Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

330 ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Golden honey colour; Half finger head and soapy white foam which last for 20 seconds; Small sticky lacing with quite fizzy carbonation; Pungent smell of full malt, with thick bread, yeast, strong lemon and grass; Near zero sweet taste of full malt, with thick white loaf, dough, strong lemon, lime, liquorices and strong grass; Medium body, slick and quite oily palate; Mouth feel is well-made German Pils, on the lighter side. Very malty, bready and dough. Almost no sugar and any foul tastes. Really good… Hoppiness is strong lemon lime and grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is lighter than typical German Pils but still expressive for an adequate astringent finish; Pretty dry after taste, refreshing and easy to mouth.

Comments: For just over US$1.00, I had no expectation and what a nice treat I’ve got: a refreshing and delightful German Pils, somewhat lighter in richness and bitterness, but it’s every bit as bready and limey for the style. Dry, crisp and go down easily. Quality Pils. Recommended!

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 3, 2013
It’s super clear golden with a white, creamy head. The aroma has notes of flower, malt, bread and a touch of straw. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of flower, bread, malt and straw, and the finish is slightly spicy and dry. Lovely!

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - APR 24, 2009
bottle, bought in Wolnzach. Clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose. Shy malty background, good amount of aromatic and bitter hops with very shy hints of stewed vegetables. Quite nice.

MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - FEB 25, 2007
(33cl bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a short, non-persistent frothy white head. Light-sweet, slightly skunky malty nose with faint grassy hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium body with a medium carbonation. Herbal, slightly grassy hoppy taste on a soft malty base; moderately dry and bitter finish. The name of the beer is absurd.
