11.2 oz bottle. Vlaemse Label. Very active carbonation. Pours a murky brown color with a frothy, bone colored head. Somewhat bready, sweet malt aroma with some prunes and a hint (slightest hint) of some bubblegum phenols. A rich, c hocolatly dubbel with big caramel, toffee and fruit notes. Charcoal-like dry finish. There’s not much bock-like about this beer; it’s a strange name. I really enjoy the beer.
Pours hazy brown with a thin, off-white head.
Sweet, dark fruit and toasted bread aroma.
Flavour is sweet....plums, chocolate malt.....a slight hint of spice.
Very rich.....great tasting. shrubber85 (11460) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 17, 2015

Marrón oscura, coca-cola, posos evidentes. Aroma agradable y complejo, frutas rojas, whisky... El sabor es igualmente complejo y estupendo. Caramelo, chocolate, uva, y algo de especias. Bien carbonatada y con cuerpo medio. Muy buena keith0718 (434) - Kansas, USA - MAY 25, 2015
Nice beer with strong notes of chocolate and lesser notes of fig with an aftertaste of chocolate.

Pours a murky brown copper color, with a small head and nice lacing. Lots of sediment floating around in the pour. The aroma is caramel, malt, yeast, honey, and a hint of dark fruit. Taste is malty, woody, and creamy, with a hint of alcohol on the finish. The taste is well rounded, with a earthy character that lingers in the mouth. Good stuff. The first new Urthel since they are brewed at Koningshoeven and the bottle and label style changed; apparently identified here with Urthel Bock Exclusief, but I doubt this was precisely the same beer, as the latter mentioned 7% ABV on the label and this one 7.5% ABV, apart from - admittedly subtle - differences in flavour. Anyway, this beer is a rich dubbel with a creamy but rather thin and opening, yet stable head and deep, clear burgundy colour. Aroma of dates, pear, blackcurrant, coriander, cloves, medium dry sherry, brown sugar, ’speculoos’, pepper, honey. Candied fruits in the mouth, sweet but not in a sugary or cloying way, drying coriander, pleasant finish with soft herbal hops and some warming alcohol. Well balanced and very enjoyable, like most Urthels. hackobock (4045) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2014
