First brewed in November 2009. Top-fermented blond bottle conditioned beer. Urthel Saisonnière has a wide range of rich aromas and a subtle bitter taste. at 6.0% abv it is a thirst-quenching beer with a "bite". It produces a beautiful foam head due to the 20% of wheat. To fully enjoy Urthel Saisonnière, first pour half the bottle, then give it a twist (3x) to release the yeast and the wheat from the bottom and then pour the rest of the bottle into the glass.

Really this is great. The aroma is a little bit weak, but the flavor is very tasty, almost tripel-like and super easy to put down. I could drink this beer all night long if I could afford it.

What a beer! Nicer with the sediment (go on, mix it all up!) in the glass. I like to drink this out of my Leffe glass. For its strength, and colour, this has a great deal of flavour. And a nice (European) hop bitterness. Rustic! Earthy, of the earth! I wouldn’t recommend it, but I can imagine drinking this outdoors. All in all a high quality beer from a fine brewery.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2011 Well balanced taste, there some sweetness and even some sourness, whilst the finish is all bitterness. Yeast and malts in the aroma. Unclear amber colour, solid white head, leaves lacings. (Bottle)

Dusty spicy aroma with yeast eaters. Fairly sweet to taste with bitter underneath. Prickly carbonation

Opaque yellow-hayish beer with bog foamy head. Well carbonated. Yeasty citric smell with hints of cumin, pepper, coriander and orange. Bready. Very fresh with a bitter-acid taste. Chewiy breadiness with hints of honey (of course) and citrics.

Yet another entry into my personal BHoF! This brew pours up a hazy amber-gold body and an enormous frothy head that leaves some amazing lacing on the glass. Scents of yeast, grains (like wheat), and fruits. Flavors of wheat and lemons along with subtle spices and something akin to warm butter. This brew is meant to be savored slowly and enjoyed for all the intense flavors and textures that it yields.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2012 Golden cloudy body with a white head. Great yeasty, spicy aroma, with orange. Great yeasty flavour with some bitterness, spices and cereal. (8/4/7/4/17) Cloudy pale orange body with a white head. Yeasty and spicy aroma with orange and lemon. Great refreshing spicy yeasty flavour with a pleasant mustiness, cereal and wheat. Great.

Pours a hazy pale straw colour with a deep, fluffy white head. Aromas of yeast, and iodine. Flavours of yeast, banana with a hint of spice.

Golden hazy body, white head. This has wheat, sweet malt, some yeast and spicyness on aroma. Taste is way too sweet for saison. Otherwise really nice.
