First brewed in November 2009. Top-fermented blond bottle conditioned beer. Urthel Saisonnière has a wide range of rich aromas and a subtle bitter taste. at 6.0% abv it is a thirst-quenching beer with a "bite". It produces a beautiful foam head due to the 20% of wheat. To fully enjoy Urthel Saisonnière, first pour half the bottle, then give it a twist (3x) to release the yeast and the wheat from the bottom and then pour the rest of the bottle into the glass.

(Bottled)a sea of yellow ...a sky of white cream....a garden in springtime...a zesty fruit basket ...a dry peppery sweet potency ...

Bottle at Øl og matfestivalen. Cloudy yellow color, big white head that disappears. Light aroma of yeast, pepper and lemon, while taste is fruity and sweet with a lasting yeast taste. Not the greatest finish, but overall a nice beer.

Hazy blond color; high carbonation; huge head. The aroma is lightly spicy, but also a bit soapy. The mouthfeel is quite dry, mostly because of the strong bitterness and evident spices (coriander); but overall there is not much more. Quite chaotic.

Hazy blond color; big head. Delicate aroma, crispy bread and coriander. Spicy (coriander) flavor, with citrusy hints, but weak body and light flavor too. Not characteristic as a Saison, just a simple, spicy Ale

Bottle at Gingerman. Cloudy straw yellow, huge lively head. Pungent aroma of banana and bubblegum, crackers, lemon, and Belgian Yeast. Flavors mirror the nose, the wheat producing fruity esters and giving it a nice smoothness. Heavy carbonation, but not fizzy. Crisp, light but flavorfull, very refreshing and drinkable. Slightly hoppy finish. Ratebeer lists it as a Belgian ale, but it is a true saison all the way.

355ml bottle, shared by Finn. Huge, frothy white head. Solid lacework. Hazy, light golden body. Sweet fruity nose containing spices. Candy sweet fruity taste with wheat and, again, with hints of mild spices. Soft and sweet on the swallow. Average, I would say (Tromsø, 29.06.2011).

This is far from my favorite style but, man, this stuff is a knockout. Light gold, frothy head, and wonderful aromas and hops fill the mouth...but just lightly. Never obnoxious or strong, the banana ester and fruity yeast play refreshingly well right up to the subtle but tantalizingly hoppy finish. Almost ethereal. Super fresh tasting, super clean, and super quaffable.

Not the best Urthel I’ve tasted, but pretty decent. Fresh smell and taste, but a bit low bodied.

Nice hazy light orange with good and creamy head. Mango, peach, spices, banana white bread. Still dry on the nose though... Little light tasting start but more full bodied later on. Pleasant light bitterness and spices. Easily drinkable. (33cl bottle)
