COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unfiltered in bottle, filtered in keg.
Ingredients: Water, Barley malt, Wheat (20%), Sugar, Yeast.
First brewed in November 2009. Top-fermented blond bottle conditioned beer. Urthel Saisonnière has a wide range of rich aromas and a subtle bitter taste. at 6.0% abv it is a thirst-quenching beer with a "bite". It produces a beautiful foam head due to the 20% of wheat. To fully enjoy Urthel Saisonnière, first pour half the bottle, then give it a twist (3x) to release the yeast and the wheat from the bottom and then pour the rest of the bottle into the glass.

DruncanVeasey (8239) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2012 1) Brilliant straw-coloured beer with a dimpled, subsiding collar. Fresh, zesty aroma begging that first sip; lemon and lime peel over a biscuity malt base. Hopped-up and mouth-drying (for a Belgian) with more fresh-shaved pith, lemon sherbet, botanicals and pilsner-type biscuit combined with a generous parting bitterness. Top stuff. 2) Bottle, Comptoir Des arts, Brugge, 15/02/12. Dusty gold with a massive, uneven bloom of foam and clouds of lace: handsome, well conditioned brew. Peppered hay and old lemon aroma. Soft, lemony, light bitterness and pepper. Dryish finish. Old/cooked lemon bitterness. Not bad. 747414.

330ml bottle (Bier Palais, Bruges)
6 Fresh perfumey aroma.
4 Hazy gold, persistent head
7 Lovely fresh crisp fruity taste
4+ Soft palate, soft carbonation. Finish is superb, lots of fruits, light wheaty grains, and a touch of noble hops.
14 Utterly delicious solid saison. Not as farmhousy and unpredictable as old-school saisons, but not lacking anything else.

Cavie (4725) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2011
Bottle courtesy pikapp327. Pours a hazy light gold with a very foamy head. Aroma is kinda funky, grain, hay and light spice. Flavor is very dry grain, slightly sour grain and yeast. Not bad, I’m surprised this isn’t classified as a saison.

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 2, 2011
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy golden color. The aromas of clove and pepper. Dry spicy and grainy flavor with clove, pepper and herbal-spicy bitterness. Tropical fruits (grapefruit) in the background. Very pungent spiciness, too spicy in fact.

Ernest (7722) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of gum, cotton candy, lemon zest, light note of metal. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Too sweet in both nose and mouth, but mostly inoffensive.

jaghana (6114) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - DEC 22, 2010
Bottle 33cl. A lightly cloudy yellow beer with good carbonation, huge head and good lacing. Smell is very yeast like. Aroma is quite sweet, with good body and malty notes, some bitterness and astringence at the finish with a nice spicy hops. Not too lemony, very long aftertaste, a good triple kind of beer, a bit oily.

3.2

330 ml bottle.
Pours a slightly unclear yellow colour with a frothy, thick, lacy head. Aroma of very strong citrus with floral notes. Flavour of wheat, citrus, mild banana, floral hops. Medium bodied, pleasant mouthfeel with some dryness too. Definitely a summer brew.
