bottle from Bierkoning - thanks! Brown colour, large off-white head. Sweet malty base with caramel and chocolate, shy fruity touch, linering bitter finish. Bitter-sweet, reminding me of a good Bohemian Dunkel. TrefwoordPunk (1247) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAR 23, 2011
Bottle 33 cl. Pours amber with a small off-white head and an aroma of dark malts and some sourness. The taste is sweet malty with some toffee and ripe fruits. Mediocre. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - SEP 9, 2010

Sort of sweet, red fruit. Expected a yellow beer (because of the label) but it’s actually a dark one. Nice. Tad too sweet

300 ml bottle. From Eindhoven, the Netherlands. BBE 08.09. Clear dark reddish brown colour with small tan head. Roasted malt, some sweetness as well as some sourness, portwine, yeast and pure alcohol in aroma. Roasted malt, dark fruits, spices and after all more vodka flavour than in a lousy vodka-seven. Quite strange beer, can’t say I’m a huge fan. diabel (1715) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - SEP 7, 2009
Bottle at Arendsnest, Amsterdam Clear, amber/brown body. LIghtly brown, creamy head. Aroma of fruit, cherries, wood, wine, port, deep malts, some smoke. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter flavour of malts and grapes. Bit watery mouthfeel. Quite nice. FatPhil (16355) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 27, 2009
300ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 3, 2009
Deep reddy brown, large beige doughy head. Slightly dusty aroma, barky, and earthy, some grains too. In the mouth - yikes - the most liquoricey beer I’ve ever tasted. Or at least the most liquoricey head I’ve ever tasted. Pleasant carbonation, soft palate. Again liquoricey taste, but sweeter than just the head was. Some of the earthiness from the aroma there too. Richly roasted, spicy and interesting, but a tad odd in places.
Bottled (from Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam). Amber colour, small beigeish brown colour. Aroma is caramel, spices and mild notes of medicine. Flavour is quite much the same along with some raisins and also something like wet smoked wood or something like that. fonefan (49551) - VestJylland, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2009
