Amber colored brew. Fruity, sweet aroma. Sweet flavor too, light fruity. Kinda nice. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 22, 2007
(Bottled) Clear dark copper with a small head (no yeast in the bottle). Grainy-malty, lightly roasty aroma with dark fruitiness, and sweetish toffee notes. Grainy-roasty-malty flavor with some old ale feel, sweetish toffee and quite low bitterness. Medium to full-bodied, slicky palate with hints of ashiness and medium carbonation. A quite nice and tasty combination of Bokbier, Old Ale and Belgian Ale. Grainy and toffeeish, enough body, but not too sweet. cgarvieuk (24465) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 10, 2007

Bottle at Kent BF. Deep chesnut with thin beige head. Sweetish malt. Strawberry malt. Strawberry aroma. Bit over carbonated. Little bit of puke on aroma. Strong, brown beer, with decent strong hop on finish. Very Dutch. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2007
A Mes rate:
Bottle at Kent Beer Festival. Dark amber / red brown colour. Benelux hops with an underlying sweetness in the aroma. Flavour of sweet malt, brown sugar and some liquorice notes. Quite tasty, lots of typical Dutch bok character. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2007
Bottle, 6%. Sour, fruity aroma, a bit like and oud bruin. Almost clear chestnut colour. Unstable light brown head. The flavour is sweetish and quite malty with a hint of roasted malts. Like a nice dubbel. JorisPPattyn (9982) - Ursel, BELGIUM - MAR 26, 2007
Foxy-amber beer with a small, amber-beige head. Very caramelly nose, even toffee. Brown sugar, and a touch of lactic. Sweet with an edge. Sweet taste. Flavour & retronasal aromas lean completely towards chocolate, sweetened cacao, with a strange fruity edge. There’s still some toffee, retronasal again. It’s really quite sweet, but avoids cloying. It’s weak point is that it gives too much of light, watery impression, not fulfilling its promises. Aftertaste give a (false?) impression of sourishness, but remaining completely fruity, like oranges. Very strange brew - this second try after several years is better than my original recall. Somehow, this seems to be a relatively simple ale, that wants to be an Oud Bruin, but missing the right ferments. beeranarchist (232) - Aalborg, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2007 Very special aroma of chocolate and oranges, really really nice! Fullbodied with a pleasant carbonation. Sweet, but very well balanced.
