50 cl bottle. Served in O´Hara´s stout glass. Amber color. OK head. Very ’English’ aroma: slightly sweet, biscuity malt background; lightly hopped. Flavor is well-balanced: pleasant, biscuity malt, and mellow hops. Pleasant mouthfeel. bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - FEB 25, 2005
Bottle. The colour is medium deep copper; the rather airy pale beige foam is two finger thick. Looks like a classic ale to me.fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 11, 2005
The smell is fresh and a bit chemical, I noted some hops, both bitter and aroma. It is a bit roasted with sweetness and a slight metallic finish.
The carbonation is good; maybe the bubbles are a little too small…
The taste could be summarized in “A good no-nonsense English ale”: A mild somewhat sweet a fruity, flowery touch develops into a large balanced bitterness with a slightly roasted touch. A dry bitterness and some sweet-burned malt dominate the long aftertaste.
This is a great everyday ale!
Amber color. A strange aroma of candies and some malt. Strong caramel taste, some sweetness, some malt, again the candies, high ending bitterness. screwball (1099) - Motala, SWEDEN - JAN 22, 2005

Bottled, Labelled Usher’s Founder’s English Ale (4.7%). Copper colour, dense, firm head. Fuggley hay aroma. Dry, but thin and almost sharp. A hint of metal and stale hops. This is not what it used to taste like. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 8, 2004
