"A distinctive ale crafted from a judicious blend of Pale, Crystal and Vienna malts to creat a Rotwein hue. Ruby Ale has a vinous, full bodied flavour and a perfectly balanced subtle bitterness. imdownthepub (14961) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2003
Bottled, Pasteurised. Deep ruby red beer with close knit head. Malt and smooth wine flavours predominate, maybe a little apply cider characterisic. Autumn fruits come through. A well constructed beer but possibly no longer available?

thewolf (12706) - Kolding, DENMARK - JAN 20, 2007
Bottle. Nice dark red colour, nearly burgundy. Aroma is dominated by caramel, having roasted and slightly smoked tones as well. Flavour is likewise dominated by caramel, but with some hazel and plum-like finishes. It has a wonderful way of circulating the caramel arong slight bitterness and fruitiness, never making the caramel too much.

madsberg (11774) - Søborg, DENMARK - AUG 4, 2004
Bottled: Ruby red coloured. Clear. Dark beige medium sized head. Spicy and very vineous aroma. Flavour is spicy and hoppy with some fruit notes. Is citric and bitter in the end.

500 ml bottle at The Golden Days, Göteborg.
Clear dark brown color, creamy tan head. Fruity and sweet scent. Rich raisin and alcohol taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet with burnt malt aftertaste. A bit harsh bitterenss, husky and grainy.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 1, 2008
The head is nice and golden and leaves a nice lace. The color should be ruby, just like a red wine, but it’s dark brown. The aroma is sweet and malty and the flavour is very sweet, especially in the beginning. It has notes of malt, caramel, dark fruit and some spice. It has a slightly bitter finish. It’s a nice after dinner beer.

Sigmund (7756) - Tau, NORWAY - JUL 7, 2003
(500 ml bottle). Ruby (rather: reddish brown) colour, very low head. Vinous aroma, full malty flavour, slightly alcoholic, good bitterness. Despite it being called a "table beer" (with robust foods) by the brewers, I would rather call it a typical "sipping beer". Recommended.
