Grumbo (3976) - Ipswich, Suffolk, - JAN 20, 2013
Bottle from Rasputin’s, Ipswich. Distinct treacle aroma on opening, pours a very deep ruby brown with a good head. Caramelised, quite thick and rich. Some carbonation, though head soon disappeared. Quite strong at 6.8% which comes through as you drink.

60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 18, 2017
Chocolate brown pour bottle from Edgemont. Aroma is chocolate, malt, oak, vanilla and more malt. Chocolate and vanilla sweet malts taste, light and buttery, slight hop. Sweet residue sticky finish. Eek.

MarcoBasile (467) - DENMARK - JUN 7, 2017
It pours a murky dark brown to black colored body with a creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty and toasty with notes of burnt wood chips and caramel. Taste is powerful, bitter, bitter coffee and chocolate and roasted malts.

tfontana (1127) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Appearance is clear red with nice sparkle, negligible beige head that fades to a ring quickly and light soapy film lacing. Aroma is strong European earthy hops, pear and malts. Taste is pear, earthy hops and light malt. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with creamy, slick texture, average carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, strange for a baltic porter--tasted most similar to Samuel Smith’s Organic Pale Ale (a bitter) than anything else. Didn’t wow me for a style I usually love.

obguthr (6657) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - SEP 16, 2016
Bready stewed apple, dates, and raisins nose, hints of walnut. Cloudy brown, thin tan head. Raisins and dates, figs, wheat bread. Figs and plums are especially pronounced in the finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Paler and fruitier than most examples of the style. Drinks more like a belgian dubbel.

rayaron (1997) - Kfar Saba, ISRAEL - FEB 27, 2016
Bottle sample. Hazy brownish-red with medium beige head. Sweetish aroma with notes of nuts, prune and dried fruits. Very sweet flavor with lots of nuts, dulce de leche and dried fruits, a bit alcoholic. Gritty texture, full-bodied.

altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - FEB 26, 2016
Bottle from Perfect Pour. Nice dark brown body with medium head. Nose is roasty and toasty. Taste of malts, caramel, brown sugar. Alcy. Decent enough.

visionthing (5532) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 31, 2016
50cl bottle from somewhere in Vilnius, probably Rimi. Pours clear mahogany with an off-white head. Malty aroma with heavy caramel notes, dark dried fruit and hints of alcohol. Sweet, almost cloying, too much caramel for my taste, but fairly drinkable. Fair enough.

BuckeyeBoy (8474) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 28, 2016
500ml bottle picked up at tres bonne. Pours out a deep mahogany topped with a small tan head. nose is heavy sweet milk chocolate caramel and roast malts. The taste is more of the heavy sweetness rich malts and a odd metallic note on the end. Well happy to say this is my first Lithuania tick.

stevoj (5571) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 20, 2015
Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. A bit musty, sweet malt that obliterates any of the roast grain nature, making it closet to a dark lager. Dark brown pour with miniscule head. Mostly sweet malts in aroma and taste, but bottle dating is obscured, so can’t tell if it’s past shelf life. My gut says possibly....still not horrible, but a disappointing porter.

TorbenJensen (1572) - Valby, DENMARK - OCT 9, 2015
Beautiful dark brown beer with a welcoming persistent foam. Trying to look like a porter, but it did not quite succeed. Tastes like an average dark lagers without major fluctuations. An ok beer, just not contain the greatest taste.
