A medicore cider. More sweet than tart. Pears are potent and sort of artificial tasting. A little medicinal.

Maakun (6285) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JAN 23, 2016
Bottle at Vrijplaats Leiden. Slight hazy light golden with no head. Surprisingly quite some apple up front, quite juicy but also some dusty apple peel. Then there’s the pears coming in, very dry, it’s more dried pear than juice. Quite some dank cellar notes and brut champagne. Soft dust and sulfite. Very light sweet with a slight metallic dusty finish. Light bodied, very dry and almost no carbonation. I don’t really get the low ratings, it’s an OK though not great brut Perry.

Bullit (4675) - Burgos, SPAIN - APR 12, 2015
Bottle from Barrique. Slightly hazy light yellow coloured. Nose is pear, slight sweetness, fairly sour, a bit artificial. Flavour has pear, some sourness, bit of apple. Again a bit artificial. Good thing this is not overly sweet, as most perrys are. All in all a good attempt, would love to see more of these in NL.

Fonefan 241014. Pale golden colour with no head. Aroma is fruit, pear, sugar. Flavour is pear, sugar, fruit, hint of apple. Boring perry.

Bottle 330ml.

[ As UWE Peren Cider ].
Light light unclear matt light to medium yellow color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate pear, sugary, lemonade - faxe kondi, light bubble gum. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a average duration, pear, artificial, sugary, thin. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20141024]

Bottle. A hazy one, pale yellow-golden in color and with a minimal-sized white head. The aroma is fruity, with both apple cores and pears. Medium body, semi-dry with a nice carbonation. Pears and apple cores. Some bitter notes. Not very interesting this one, slightly yeasty too. 141024

Rasmus40 (21689) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2014
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear very pale yellow without head. Aroma is sweet, light apples and light pear. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. 241014

Benzai (16520) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 11, 2014
Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy very pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste pear, lightly (Dutch) "appelmoes", lightly sweet and slightly a hint of fruitpeel sour. Clearly pear and / or pear juice in there. To me it tastes quite natural in the sense of "not many additives thrown in", but in this case it doesn’t really seem to improve the flavor. At least, I don’t really like it.

worldbeertaste (1806) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2013
Hazy pale gild no head. Smells of fresh ripened pear with malt, and yeast. Medium frothy, fizzy body with medium carbonation. Tastes of juice with a thin pear element but more of an apple, pear cocktail. Some wood and grass. Leaves the mouth sweet and sour.
