(Sample from a 1 litre plastic bottle, thanks brunnsbe, 20160726) The beer poure pale golden. Its head was non-existent. Aroma had sweetness, paper and surprising fruity notes. Palate was light bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were paper, wet cardboad and sweetness. A rather well preserved one even though the beer was old. I expected worse.

1L plastic bottle - shared by Brunnsbe - thanks!
Cidery aroma, certainly fruity. Massively oxidised taste, but far from unpleasant. Flat watery palate. I suspect this sample, which was presumably between 5 and 10 years old, might even be better than fresh!

Enjoyed at the SOPP 2016, Helsinki, Finland. Thanks brunnsbe & oh6gdx for this treat!
Cloudy golden color with no head. Paper, newspaper and wet cardboard. Very papery. Might be quite old bottle.

Bottled (thanks brunnsbe!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, grassy, some cardboard and mild sweet old malts. Flavour is very similar with also some slight notes of grains.

Its refreshing on a south seas summer day. Standard tropics lager, nothing to write home about

The best beer I have ever had. Where can I buy it back home? Samoa is too far to go!

Bottle. Gold with an inch of white head that lasts OK. Clean aroma of hay and light spices. Light bodied. Mild grainy sweetness, pepper, grass. Touch of sourness you often pick up in light lagers. Moderate but slightly harsh bitterness in a dry finish. I guess this is good nick. "May I ask what you expected to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plains?"

330ml bottle into glass. Green bottle, skunk nose. Nose does not get better in the glass. Pale yellow, good head, even carbonation. Chalky mineral water taste. Abrupt slight malt finish. Its 37 degrees Celsius in Sydney this evening and this beer makes perfect sense right now.

BB 020515. Poured a clear pale golden colour with a one- to two-finger white frothy head that diminished slowly to a collar. Laced well. Carbonation very high and coarse. Aroma typical; lager - malt and grain; no obvious hops. Taste initially sour malt then becomes a bit sweet but has a distinct tangy possibly chemical bitterness. Light body, a bit watery. Crisp, light refreshing with a lingering tangy bitterness on the finish. Best drank cold.

12 ounce bottle. Thanks Doug! Pours a pale gold with a nice white head. Mild aroma of malt and grain. Taste is malt, grain, and a bit of grass. Drinkable.
