COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prykmestar Schwarzbock on lähes läpinäkymättömän musta pohjahiivaolut.

Totally black beer with thick brown and everlasting head. Beautiful beer. Nose feel has some sweet malts with chocolate and lots of roasted malts. Taste is quite sweet, chocolate and syrup. Roasted malts and and an bitter herb feel at the end. I enjoyed this.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks!. Dark brown color. Maltaroma with apple syrup. Malty sweet flavor with hints of roast, caramel and apple syrup. Too sweet for me.

Oakrock (130) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 26, 2013
Very nice, fruity taste. Perfect sweetness, Weak palate. Not at all foamy - it is a pity because with more full palate would give high points. A little taste of car tyre, but still one of the best finnish beers. Nice - want to have another.

0.5 l bottle from Alko. Dark mahagony color. Aromas of toffee, cholate and some coffee. Sweetish taste with toffee, toasted bread, chocolate and raisins. Medium body, perhaps a bit watery mouthfeel. Nicely restrained roastiness, tasty but not aggressive.

Marduk (7936) - Reval, ESTONIA - APR 4, 2013
500ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Dark brown color. Small off-white head. Grainy and sweet aroma. Slightly dusty. Coffee, roasted malts, grainy notes in flavor. Bit watery and not enough depth. Roasted grains in aftertaste.

500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Nice roasty aroma, very grainy, hint of sourness. Pretty thin body for a beer of this colour and strength, not quite watery, but getting there. OK carbonation. Looked lovely though, pretty much black, and a tight tan head. Body a little proteiny, smooth, and soft. Nice roast, but I can’t lose the watery aspect. Covers 6% pretty well, but it’s a bit too mashy and raw. Attenuate this a bit more, please.
