Prykmestar Schwarzbock on lhes lpinkymttmn musta pohjahiivaolut. Tm tumma ja tytelinen olut syntyy kolmen eri mallaslaadun sekoituksesta. Schwarzbock on humaloinniltaan mieto ja tasapainoinen. Voimakkaan maltaisen ja paahtuneen oluen mausta voi lyt kahvimaisia piirteit sek tumman suklaan vivahteen.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Deep coppery brown colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, some toffee and mild chocolate/coffee as well. Flavour is roasted malts, some slight bitterness along with mild chocolate and coffee. A bit thin as for the palate, but otherwise rather nice!

Dark, almost opaque brown-black color, small steady brownish head. Aroma of cough syrup, licorice, toasted malts. Medium bodied, palate is thinner than expected. Bready, some licorice, toasted notes. Smooth and decent.

500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Nice roasty aroma, very grainy, hint of sourness. Pretty thin body for a beer of this colour and strength, not quite watery, but getting there. OK carbonation. Looked lovely though, pretty much black, and a tight tan head. Body a little proteiny, smooth, and soft. Nice roast, but I cant lose the watery aspect. Covers 6% pretty well, but its a bit too mashy and raw. Attenuate this a bit more, please.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks!. Dark brown color. Maltaroma with apple syrup. Malty sweet flavor with hints of roast, caramel and apple syrup. Too sweet for me.

Rune (12237) - Troms, NORWAY - OCT 5, 2013
500ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Good looking beer with a deep, dark ruby body. Two-finger, fawn-coloured head with a solid stand, and with rings of spotty lace down the glass. Smell of malty ice cream. Smooth roasted, chocolate taste supported by an herbal hoppy touch towards the ending. Soft and smooth in the mouth. Easy to drink. Snadder (session at Finns in Troms, 01.10.2013).

500 ml bottle. BB 15/7/2013. (Alko) Helsinki, Finland.
Dark reddish brown, almost black colour with a small to average sized tan head. Roasted malt, metal and dark chocolate in the aroma. The flavour is dry roasted malty with coffee, salty minerals and hints of liquorice. Very dry. Rather balanced. Quite porter-like. Not that Bock malty.

50 cl bottle. BBE 07/2013.
Pours dark ruby red color with a large, frothy head, leaves some nice lace. Aroma of smoke, burnt malts, dry bready notes, some mild fruit and hints of tar, some grain too. Flavor is quite sweet with tar, caramel, some toasted malts, faint milk chocolate notes and some some light coffee on the background. Quite creamy palate, somewhat watery with a long, sweet chocolaty aftertaste. Decent.

laiti (8304) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 11, 2013
50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 15.07.2013
Aroma has roasted notes, some coffee and licorice. Flavour has roasted malt, coffee, some peaty notes, slightly salty licorice and hints of pea soup. A non‐disturbing feeling of alcohol on some sips. Exactly what I expected: a stronger version of their Schwartz. And I like this one too.
