Pours a light orangey golden with a generous white head. Clean light malt and spices on the nose. Light bodied in the mouth with delicate ginger and some vanilla notes. Little trace of alcohol, some sweetness. Good.

Bottle from a Carrefour in Bruges. Pours clear golden with a lasting, lacing-leaving, frothy, white head. The aroma contains malt, spices, caramel, orange and bread. It tastes medium sweet, light to medium bitter and light sour. Creamy texture, fizzy carbonation, medium long finish. Nothing really surprising. I expected this to be brown and I wouldnt call it a Christmas beer, but okay, if they say so...

Cristobal37 (1240) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 13, 2017
Bottle from Val Dieu abbey. Hazy yella big big head. Typical sweet appetizing aroma. Tasty apple, bready, honey ale. Really enjoyable and simple.

VDuquerroux (1869) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - MAY 5, 2017
Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling amber beer with a medium white foamy head ; good retention. Herb, roast, biscuit notes, a bit rough, alcohol notes. Medium dry bitter refreshing, sweet spicy note. Medium good body, silky texture, average carbonation, dry bitter yeasty finish. Overall, enjoyable (13=14-1) ; honestly, good abbey belgian ale but still searching the christmas spirit ??

(bottle) hazy deep golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of watermelon and bubble gum, with lots of candle wax, some light yeast and floral hops. flavour is mostly caramelized wheat and sugar icing, with some notes of marshmallow, earth and bubble gum in the semi-dry finish. heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.

Color dorado anaranjado, turbio, repleto de sedimento, con capa de espuma blanca de tres dedos de grosor (no mucha retención). Aroma a especias, algo de alcohol, humedad (extraño y poco placentero). Sabor a especias (cilantro), frutas, azucar, alcohol.
