AshtonMcCobb (6498) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 19, 2011
Draught at Haymarket Bar. Pours dark, almost opaque with a purple/red tinge. There is a slim but nice head. The nose has dark burnt chocolate. The taste has bitter chocolate and burnt coffee. The palate is rich in structure and texture but it doesn’t clean at all. Overall, this is a good beer but sickly after a while.

kwik-lime (1915) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2011
Roasty with a slight chocolate hint. Bitter finish. It’s decent but not particularly complex for a porter.

4
niquillis (2679) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2011
On cask at The Congress, Longton. Pours black with an off white head. Coffee with sweet hints, an excellent porter. Very much my style of beer.

Cask @ The Sir John Moore. Sour grassy aroma. Dark brown, almost black colour, not much head. Interesting spicy marzipan flavour. A bit flat & watery with treacle aftertaste. Almost drinkable.
