Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, coffee - sweet dusty coffee. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, dusty, sweet malt, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Cask @ Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Pours a black color with an off-white head. Fruity malty and slightly roasted aroma. Sweet roasted malty and fruity flavor with some hints of coffee and chocolate. Deep reddish brown colour with small off-white/beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some chocolate and coffee. Also mild ashy notes. Flavour is caramel, roasted malts some ashes and mild coffeeish notes. Mild bitterness in the finish. Gentle and smooth.
Gravity cask at the Bell, Nottingham. Clear deep maroon color. Soft roast aroma. Taste is coffee grounds, light body.

Cask. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. Lightly nutty and roasted nose. Light body, flat, roasted nutty accents and even roast all through the finish. Gravity cask at the Pig’s Ear 2011. Pours ruby-brown with a bubbly, white foam head. A bit of dry chocolate and moderate roast in the aroma. Flavor is medium sweet with a nice roastiness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close.
