avion, aldridge. Chestnut beer with medium head and good lacing.Aroma of malts. Taste is fruity malts, biscuit and toffee. Nicely balanced. Decent.
Slips down powerful easy. Could drink several but deceptively strong. Looks well . Taste a little bland as far as I am concerned. ManVsBeer (10448) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2014
Cask @ Moon Under Water, Manchester. Ruby red with a creamy head and a small bitterness. Fairly smooth tasting with a small wood flavoured character. Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 24, 2014
Fra cask på Standing Order (JDW), Southampton 23 Jan 14. Mørk kastanjebrun. Lavt litt farget skum som etterlater masse lacing. Svak karamellaroma. Smaken litt tynn. Ubestemmelig - litt nøtteaktig smak. mr_h (5476) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - FEB 10, 2014

beer fest 2013.
Dark ruby red, caramel malt balanced by herbal hops. Moderate carbonation and body. Good.
Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickers, 12/10/13.
Clear reddish amber with a good sized light beige head.
Nose is biscuit malt, light orchard fruit, thin caramel vein.
Taste comprises toffee, dark fruits, biscuit malt, fruit loaf.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry bitter finish.
Ok bitter. Vladivostok (485) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2013
Slight hoppy aroma, reddish colour and to my mind, an old ale rather than a bitter. Nice toffee malt palate ending in a controlled bitter finish. The body generated naturally in this kind of ale tends to counteract the harshness that I have encountered in other Vale beers. In my view, their best to date.
