Slips down powerful easy. Could drink several but deceptively strong. Looks well . Taste a little bland as far as I am concerned.

Cask @ Moon Under Water, Manchester. Ruby red with a creamy head and a small bitterness. Fairly smooth tasting with a small wood flavoured character.

Fra cask på Standing Order (JDW), Southampton 23 Jan 14. Mørk kastanjebrun. Lavt litt farget skum som etterlater masse lacing. Svak karamellaroma. Smaken litt tynn. Ubestemmelig - litt nøtteaktig smak.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickers, 12/10/13. Clear reddish amber with a good sized light beige head. Nose is biscuit malt, light orchard fruit, thin caramel vein. Taste comprises toffee, dark fruits, biscuit malt, fruit loaf. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry bitter finish. Ok bitter.

Slight hoppy aroma, reddish colour and to my mind, an old ale rather than a bitter. Nice toffee malt palate ending in a controlled bitter finish. The body generated naturally in this kind of ale tends to counteract the harshness that I have encountered in other Vale beers. In my view, their best to date.
