Slips down powerful easy. Could drink several but deceptively strong. Looks well . Taste a little bland as far as I am concerned.

Fra cask p Standing Order (JDW), Southampton 23 Jan 14. Mrk kastanjebrun. Lavt litt farget skum som etterlater masse lacing. Svak karamellaroma. Smaken litt tynn. Ubestemmelig - litt ntteaktig smak.

Slight hoppy aroma, reddish colour and to my mind, an old ale rather than a bitter. Nice toffee malt palate ending in a controlled bitter finish. The body generated naturally in this kind of ale tends to counteract the harshness that I have encountered in other Vale beers. In my view, their best to date.
