Good amber colour. Soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Good body. Some fruity hops and fudge flavours with an almond sweetness. Finishes buttery shortbread. ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 19, 2013
Copper coloured ale with a tasty malt base, slightly biscuity. Small head and very smooth to drink. wheresthepath (2395) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2012
[Brewer’s own stand at the Thame Food Festival] Slightly murky amber brown with a slight white head. A little caramel, some nuts, some rather grubby citrus and a vague dusty bitterness. Not great, but then I’m afraid I’m not the biggest fan of this brewery normally. tombyars (1766) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 12, 2012
Sampled this ale in the Saltcot, Saltcoats in July 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear russet in colour with a thin white head. Prickle of dusty dry hops in the faint aroma. Poor lacing and a very thin mouthfeel. Pale malt complex leads to a dry redcurrant fruit and tea biscuit flavour with a hint of vanilla essence. Dry hop resins present in the bitter aftertaste but sweetness comes through and gives balance to a quick finish. An ok session ale from Vale but really lacking in complexity and strength of flavour though.

Big up to Tjalve!! Pours with a beautiful dark amber color. Aroma is some sweet malty, some red berries and darker syrup. Flavor is little malty and some syrup sweet to it. Palate is medium. Medium carbonated. Vladivostok (491) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2010
A good looking ale, but I find everything Vale make to be rather tart and harsh. Just doesn’t suit my palate I guess. fonefan (51064) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAR 2, 2010

A beer choc full of exciting nutty buzzes and mellow malts. It has a tingly carbonation that really adds a brightness to the flavour. Hints of chocolate and hazelnut give a delicious sweetness.
