Cloudy golden with a small white head. Almost no aroma. Watery with some generic malt caramel and a bit of honey. No bitterness whatsoever and very little hop presence. The bottle label proudly said Hand Crafted. I say buy a machine.

Bottle from Real Ale. Clear, glowing amber with orange notes and a big white head. Well-balanced aroma of caramel fruit and citrussy hoppiness. Taste of raisins and toffee. Good bitterness. Light-bodied with good carbonation. Dry mouthfeel. One of the more complex bitters I have tasted.

StueyD (1579) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2006
A mid orange-brown coloured beer, with a weak white head. A light aroma of hops with a slightly fruity hint. The taste is dry with a light bitterness. The flavour is of dry hops along with a fruity element that comes through from the nose. The aftertaste is dry and hoppy. (Draught - Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk)

Islip Village Hall Sat 25th Feb. Mid brown beer slight maltiness, very pleasant session bitter though a tad on the thin side.

TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 18, 2006
Pint pulled at The Railway in Putney (London), an amber colour with a thin filmy head. A malty sourness in the aroma, presumably because my local JCW is properly caring for the casks and/or lines. Still a very smooth mouth feel though with a levelled bitter finish. The flavours that do come through are a stewed fruits maltiness.

Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2006
Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Simple upfront with distinct fruity aromas. Light cakey/vanilla sweet flavour despite being quite dry, almost immediately obliterated by the bitterness then leaving a chalky feel with a hint of residual sweetness. A decent session bitter.

Cask (handpump) at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria. Pale copper colour. Crisp, fresh and quite dry. Distinctly bitter with mild citrus notes. No great depth of flavour. Slightly tart finish. Although theres really not that much to this beer, it is a session bitter, and a quite decent one.

harrisoni (17848) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2006
Handpull cask at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Hazy copper colour with thin white head. Maybe not cleared yet. Muddled flavours, nice hop, some strawberry grapefruit. Earthy/muddy but good fruit. Quite a nice session beer, certainly plenty of flavour. Drying hop finish. Some yeast on nose

Bottle conditioned. Very frothy off-white head, nice colour. Grainy taste, a little fruity. Very active. Interesting its bottle conditioned, but it works. Dry.
