Thanks to Uncle Dave. Shame about the low ratings I thought that this was rather nice. Nice yeasty banana aroma. Thirst quenching. On the softer less tart end of hefeweizens. Serving: Bottle

5l keg. Hazy deep golden color, white head. Aroma has sweet wheat notes, banana. Sweet wheat taste, banana, low carb. Too sweet, no hops=no good.

Continuing experiments in cheap euro lager in cans at nz supermarkets occasionally yield a decent beer. Subdued yet balanced clove notes. Finishes clean but with a little fatness which I understand is to style. Jolly nice

50 cl can. Pours golden hazy color with medium head. Aroma of bananas, yeast, clove, fruits. Taste is similar to aroma, bananas, fruits, yeast, grain. Medium body & carbonation, sweet finish and aftertaste. Overall a decent beer.

Review: 0.5l bottle of Valentins Hefeweissbier Premium: ABV: 5.3% Should be served in a Weizen glass, that is if you have one. I dont! Brewed in the great traditions of monastic brewing and of course the Bavarian purity law of 1516. Frothy on pour which settles very well. Hazy golden-amber colour Decent sized white head and maintains throughout. Not a bad looking beer. Nice balanced and pleasant smell of your typical weisbier of yeast, wheat, clove, and banana as well, albeit all smells were a little faint. On taste has all the typical Hefeweizen tastes but on a very low level. Light yeasts, malts, the cloves, the wheat, and banana flavours. Nice creamy mouthfuls. Creamy. Not much standout taste though, very subtle flavours. Not really bitter or strong aftertaste. Very nice, inoffensive and well rounded, and very smooth, VERY SMOOTH. I’d imagine it would be a nice beer to pair with some good food on a nice hot day. Nice on the tongue and finishes light and smooth, very drinkable for me at least who isn’t the biggest fan of weisbier’s! An OK beer.

cloudy orangy gold with thin foamy white head aroma of banana and tin flava of banana some grain and tanginess feels light-medium silky with lively foamy fizz finishes tangy and medium dry

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2017 Can. Hazy honey color but not enough head. Sweet malts and raw doughy aroma. Banana bread, wheat, apple pie taste. Dry wheaty finish. No spices, minimal tang crisp mouthfeel I associate with the style. Satisfying, but far cry from its premier Bavarian brothers.

ArtificialCyst (1140) - Szczecin, POLAND - MAR 21, 2017
Bottle from a supermarket. Aroma: Not intensive yeasty aroma, banana, esters and light malts. Appearance: Golden body, ok head. Taste: Sweet, bit malty, banana, some other esters. Palate: Sweet finish, medium body, high carbonation.

ruigo (2706) - PORTUGAL - FEB 20, 2017
50cl can. Hazy orangish golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy, earthy and light fruity. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a dry end. Overall, a not so tasty beer but very drinkable.
