Clear light golden color with okay head. Smokey bread flavor. Slight bitterness, and quite exciting. From my Backlog.

(bottle) slightly hazy deep golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of herbal hops and marzipan, with some notes of white chocolate, manure and lavender. flavour is mostly peat-smoked malts and yeast, quite phenolic, with a touch of earth and a light-bitter nettle finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Cask (backlog). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, earthy, wooden, some resiny and mild tea leafs. Flavour is similar, but has some bready, malty and grassy notes to it as well. Balanced, but rather simplistic. More a golden ale than a bitter.

Bottle BBE: 20 Aug 2016. Lightly chilled. Pours a clear gold-amber with medium, quickly-dissipating, loose and patchy off-white head. Medium-low intensity nose with peat smoke, soda bread and a little plasticine, with a slightly metallic tinge. To taste: a light biscuity sweetness is enveloped by a medium smokiness on the top of the tongue, which complements an overall medium-light bitterness. Light-medium bodied with quite a thin, foamy texture. Carbonation is medium-low and the finish is short and gently bitter. A nice peaty smokiness is let down by the bitter base, which is watery and insipid.

Fra kran p Schouskjelleren 12 Apr 13. Lys aprikosfarget. Uklar. Lavt skum. Svak fjsaroma. Smaken blir enda mere fjs. Bare sorgen. Har en flelse av at denne ikke var helt frisk.

500ml bottle from Alesela. With a name like something youd find in a long-unwashed pair of pants. Fortunately, it doesnt look or smell like that. Clear pale gold, short-lived white head. Aromas are grainy and lemony. Taste brings an earthy note. Bit odd this one. Watery finish.

On tap at Henriks, Bergen. Has a clear and golden dark straw colour and a small off-white head. Aroma of bubble gum, sweet corn, tropical fruits and caramel. Much of the same in the flavour but is more fruity with hay, pale malt and some hops. Has a slick mouth feel, and a light to medium bitterness. An okay and fruity bitter.
