COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Trappist Ale. Pillars Of Strength series.
This beer has a delicious Graham cracker aroma with a slight malty highlight. Cherry combines with raisin, some spiciness and a few alcohol esters. The flavor has a rich caramel sweetness that leads into a diverse mixture of malt characters. There is also a taste of clove with a little herbal hops and a light hotness. In the finish you will find a flicker of warmth and a mildly dry sensation as well as low sweetness and medium mouthfeel. Color: 19.33 SRM

Bottle:   Dark Brown, thin off-white head, sudsy, little lacing.   Big dark pitted fruit on the nose, sweet dark breadiness, and a touch of mustiness.   Similar on the tongue, but also with a bit of anise.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Nearing full bodied.   Big raisiny and bready finish, sweet, malty, and very bready without being heavy or cloying.   Surprisingly tasty.   Full flavored from start to finish without being overly heavy.   very respectable.

Really awesome brew. Fruity Belgian aroma. Some dark fruits in aroma and flavor is toasty bread and yeast with an awesome fruity ester blalance on the back end. Truly enjoyable.

Everything I want in a Belgian Quad. Aroma is spot on, body and flavor are what I love in traditional examples of the style. Definitely one of the best domestic representations of the style I’ve ever had.

The smell is citrus, malty, the color is a dirty muddy water brown, the taste is malty, sweet, spicy on the backend, hoppy. The sweetness needs to be evened out.

Dark ruby red, biscuit malt aroma with big fruity esters. Big rich mouthfeel. Very nice Belgian Trappist strong ale.

A better then average trappist ale. Pours a beautiful ruby red with a tan head. Smells herby, with some cilantro and lime, with some classic Belgian overtones. Taste is simple, with more cilantro and herbs, and a boozy finish. Had in the bottle.

Bomber from CraftShack. Pours very, very ruddy copper (held against strong light) with a slight beige head. Aroma of malt and darker fruits. Med + body. Slightly roasty darkish malt with mixed fruity esters. And date/plum/raisin sort of fruits. Heat is not really an issue. Maybe getting some pepper or clove. Alcohol is having an effect in the gullet. Finishes far from dry, but it drinks decently. BSA! BSA! BSA! (hint: not the scouts)
