Long: Low foam, low carbonation. Clear red amber pour. Nose is mild vegetal, dark bread, soy. Taste has a biting, metallic palate that is a big improvement over the chemically abrasive palate of their Biere de Garde. Finishes with red apple skin/ tannic.

7 June 2013, tap at the brewery. Copper, clear, no bubbles. Nose is toasty malt, some light bitterness. Thin body and fizzy. Toasty, light caramel, light burnt toast, faint bitterness. Pretty good bitter.

Dark amber pour with a khaki head. Nose is heavy on the toast with some floral and earthy hops. Light fruitiness, yeast, light grass, and some bread sweetness. Somewhat bitter flavor of earthy and pine hops. Light fruit, toast, dark chocolate, and grass. Light bread sweetness and a touch of yeast.
