Thick black syrupy pour with a thin tan film of a head. Aroma of brown sugar, molasses and sweet dark fruit. Flavor is bittersweet up front with a rich roasted chocolate finish. full bodied and thick on the palate with little carbonation. Definitely meant to sipped and enjoyed slowly. .

12 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and some dark fruit. Strange taste at the finish. Not impressed.

JonnyMadison (87) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 10, 2015
Bottle. Poured deep, deep garnet, with little head -- gorgeous! Aroma is milder than the taste, which is very rich and sugary. A raspberry molasses flavor with a little spice, but mostly sweet. Might be too thick and sweet, but it is an imperial stout and very decadent!

arkurzynski (2456) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 11, 2014
Deep brown pour. Nose is a mess of brown sugar, molasses, candy, faint roast malt and mild soy. Flavor is much of the same - sugary molasses and brown sugar with some roast malt. Somewhat thin.

cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - APR 10, 2014
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours black with a thin light brown head, the aroma is way sweet, tons of sugar and caramel and molasses, overkill almost, the flavor is much of the same, really sweet and rich with lots of molasses and some dark fruit, a little bit of spice too, thinner mouthfeel, really meh to me.

crossovert (13724) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2014
Terrible, terrible beer. Tart and tangy, waaaay overspiced. Horrible beer that reminds me of a first-time homebrew.

madvike (3285) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle - Big and dark with a thin tan head. Nose is burnt sugar, boozy warmth, molasses, and a weird dark malt/plastic mix. Taste is big and sweet, with brown sugar and molasses, bitter dark malt, a bit of roast, and some coffee grounds on the finish. Mouth coating in a weird filmy way, and lots of sugary sweetness throughout. Thick and slick, with minimal carbonation. Would have liked this beer 4 years ago, but not now. Gross.

Lemke10 (993) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 17, 2013
This pours a dark brown/black color with very little head. The aroma is sweet with molasses, toffee, and caramel. The taste is heavy and sweet with coffee flavors. It starts thick and creamy and ends with a chalky, malt after taste. A uniquely made “Swedish Style Stout.”

Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 26, 2013
Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is full of chocolate, roasted malt and a hint of dark fruit. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

blutt59 (6576) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 14, 2013
bottle, thanks to khoffman43, dark brown with tan foam, chocolatey coffee and malt with some oatmeal and dark fruits, aroma has a bit of plastic note
