UPDATED: MAY 16, 2015 A dark beer without much bitter. Fairly creamy with a good sweet note. Doesn?t remind me of a bold porter, but to me that is not a bad thing :)

Bottle from the Malt Shoppe. Reddish brown pour with no head. Aroma has dark fruit, some roast and caramel. Taste is of a bit of chocolate, some roast, dark fruit and caramel, with lactose. A bit thin. Medium bodied. Sweet finish with some off-roast. Shrug? 13.2

12 ounce bottle. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of malt and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, and lactose. Decent but not memorable.

Nice looking pour....deep black with mocha head. Nose of roasted malt, light coffee, mild dark fruit and faint brown sugar. Flavor is silky roast with coffee, cream, and faint dark fruit. Smooth mouthfeel. Maybe a touch thin. This is a real winner in my book.

It is a bit funky, lots of metal and fruit, otherwise tastes like a milk stout. Not great though.

This pours a very dark brown/black color with a very minimal head. The aroma is mild with coffee and roasted malts. The taste isn’t is big and bold as I was expecting. The flavor is pretty simple with roasted malts, caramel malts, and coffee. At 4.5% this is missing the big bold taste that 8.0%+ stouts have. Now putting this stuff in a bourbon barrel would make it taste delicious.

This is a first, 12oz bottle... I’ve never had this happen to me before. 3 glasses first a shaker, second a pils glass, third a DFH shaped glass... pouring in 2oz of liquid resulted in an entire glass of foam. repeat three times, then pour the remaining 6 or 7oz in the sink where it foamed up an 8" diameter 3" high "cloud" Nice looking mocha foam, with hints of coffee and roast, foam is well foamy and eventually started to settle out, beer tasted okay no obvious infection...weird.

Sweetish beer. Slick mouthfeel and a dark appearance. Coffee and chocolate.

Pours a rich umber black color with no visible head... Aroma are coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and wheat. On the palate its rich full body and has a sweet oat milky lactose punch that works wel with the deep roasted chocolate and coffee notes. Coffee ground bitterness on the finish.

Sample at brewery. Pours dark with a creamy, brownish head. Aroma is coffee and malts. Flavor is sweet chocolate and lots of cold coffee taste. Overall a very nice coffee beer.
