With its 7.0% alcohol by volume, Vampire Pale Ale is somewhat higher in alcohol content than regular ales, but its not overpowering like the name might suggest. Instead its alluring color and aroma envelop the ever-present hops and fruity esters that leads you craving for more and more. Like all living ales, Vampire Pale Ale will continue to improve with age.

Bottle. Musty lemon, coriander, and malt aroma. Golden yellow with large head. Lightly dusty/yeasty lemon malt flavor. Very nice.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Pours a slightly hazy medium golden with a a bubbly white head that foams up quite a bit. Aroma is that of white grape juice, some yeasty dough. Flavor is unimpressive and dull with some tired white grape accents, some light lemony notes, a touch of yeast and raw dough. Mouthfeel has a decent spritz to it. This has been sitting on the shelf for several months - finally went on sale at $7.99 - glad I waited.

Pours the color of apple juice with half foam, like a belgian pale ale, that settles to a film quickly. The aroma is gummy. The bite is forward and fizzy. The taste is belgian yeast and fizzy champagne-like pale malt. It doesnt taste alchy, but the bite makes up for this.

Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, caramel, bit of fruit. Taste is about the same. Youd have to pay me $300,000 to drink another bottle of this.

750ml brown bottle, corked. Pours golden and mostly clear. Thin soapy head on top, white in colour. Nose has belgian yeast, some sweet malt/carmel, bread. Taste has grains, light bread, yeasty end with some mineral notes. Low bitterness, aftertaste is lightly malty with light yeast. Overall a light and dry Belgian pale ale, drinkable but not demanding or complex in any way.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Smitty. Clear medium gold, bubbly white head that leaves an early ring of lace. Aroma is light cooked pineapple and sweet malt. The palate is the same, with lower sweetness/sugar than expected, which I appreciate. A fairly plain and simple Belgian blonde, but theres nothing wrong with that sometimes.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a pale cloudy gold with a large fluffy white head. Aroma of fruit, yeast, and caramel. Taste is ripe fruit, yeast, caramel, and spice. Decent enough.

This ale has fruity/estery aromas with a slight herbal hoppiness. The flavors is much of the same slight fruity and caramel notes with more herbal/floral hops. The finish is dry and slightly yeasty. Its okay, Your friends will like the bottle more than your tongue will like what inside.

Cloudy, brown/yellow pour. Big frothy head. Earthy, Belgian style aromas. Hints of banana and apricot. Somewhat sweet, a bit of metalic flavor. Dried fruit and figs. Too carbonated for my liking.
