COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its 7.0% alcohol by volume, Vampire Pale Ale is somewhat higher in alcohol content than regular ales, but it’s not overpowering like the name might suggest. Instead its alluring color and aroma envelop the ever-present hops and fruity esters that leads you craving for more and more. Like all living ales, Vampire Pale Ale will continue to improve with age.

750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a 4 finger foamy white head. Aroma is primarily yeast/spice. Quite a bit of various fruit esters. Bubble gum through tropical fruit. Med body or better. Flavor matches the aroma. It’s complex in a light fruity way. Definitely Belgian ale!

DuffMan (10271) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 3, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Smitty. Clear medium gold, bubbly white head that leaves an early ring of lace. Aroma is light cooked pineapple and sweet malt. The palate is the same, with lower sweetness/sugar than expected, which I appreciate. A fairly plain and simple Belgian blonde, but there’s nothing wrong with that sometimes.

marcus (10144) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy blonde with a huge foamy white head and a floral aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a nice Belgian yeast presence and a carbonated finish.

onceblind (9418) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 1, 2016
Aged for an uncertain amount of time, a year at least. Cloudy deep golden with a thin rocky white head. Lovely bouquet of Belgian pale ale aromas, featuring pear, apple, white grape, fleshy pithy citrus and a somewhat corny undertone. Fleshy and dusty flavor like an authentic Belgian pale. Lots of pear and apple flesh, a bit of funky fruity yeast, a light bit of grape, and a corn/hay malty undertone.
