COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its 7.0% alcohol by volume, Vampire Pale Ale is somewhat higher in alcohol content than regular ales, but it’s not overpowering like the name might suggest. Instead its alluring color and aroma envelop the ever-present hops and fruity esters that leads you craving for more and more. Like all living ales, Vampire Pale Ale will continue to improve with age.

champagne beer. Grain and some candy in the aromas; good balance in the taste, with long length.

Bottle. Musty lemon, coriander, and malt aroma. Golden yellow with large head. Lightly dusty/yeasty lemon malt flavor. Very nice.

This one kind of grew on me. At first, it seemed rather bland, even a bit boozy (even at just 7%). As it warmed, I started to get a good deal of nice yeasty , bubblegum and banana, some other subtle yeasty, fruity aromas and flavors. Some piney, woody hop notes, as well. Plus, of course, a bonus appearance point for the cool label.

750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a 4 finger foamy white head. Aroma is primarily yeast/spice. Quite a bit of various fruit esters. Bubble gum through tropical fruit. Med body or better. Flavor matches the aroma. It’s complex in a light fruity way. Definitely Belgian ale!

750 ml bottle from Biggie Wine & Liquor, purchased 16 months ago. Orange and clear appearance with active carbonation and a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spicy clove, banana, fruity esters, herbs and light peppery spice. Similar flavor. Medium body with ample carbonation and a pleasant mouth feel experience. This one held up pretty well and was much better than expected.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. I meant to drink this on Halloween. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a large cream-colored soapy head with excellent retention; leaves a little lace. Aroma is mostly faint, but it has fruity esters, mineral/metal, unclean. Taste has a nice Belgian yeast character; it’s sweet, spicy, savory, grainy, clovey. Mouthfeel is foamy with high carbonation. It has its flaws, but overall this isn’t too bad.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy blonde with a huge foamy white head and a floral aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a nice Belgian yeast presence and a carbonated finish.

750ml corked bottle pours a bright golden color with a 2 finger white head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is yeasty with some light fruits and mild hops. Taste is a light fruity and malty sweetness with a mild citrus hop bitterness and a yeasty dry finish. Medium in body with generous carbonation which leaves a pleasant sensation on the palate. A nicely done beer for the style and would probably keep many coming back for more including myself.

750 thanks to Craig. Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. A sweet fruity light hop nose. A sweet lemon and caramel mix, light floral hops. A peppery bite.

Pilsner malt, spicy phenols from yeast, moderate-high hop aroma. Medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
