COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed since the beginning of last century, when the near-complete staff of the brewery went to see the circus of Buffalo Bill, leaving the boiling brewing kettle to the care of the youngest employee. This boy let the beer roast and caramelise on the bottom of the kettle, but after trying, everybody actually liked the "spoiled" beer, which became the brewerys staple diet. This Belgian version is a lot weaker than the stout exported to the USA.

the aroma is caramel with hints of fruits and brown sugar... the taste is caramel with shades of dark fruits, licorice, toffee and passionfruit... sweet, a little bit fruity and dry aftertaste...

Sample at rebro l & Whisky 2014. Malty smell with some caramel. Similar taste. Deep malty beer. Was marketed as a stout but I would think its more of a bruin. Nice beer though.

Bottle 33cl. Color is deep amber brown, small frothy light tan head, recedes after a while but a thick layer remains, good lacing; aroma sweet malts, caramel, brown sugar, fruity (cherry, berries), roasty notes, soap; taste is medium sweetbitter and on the whole quite light; medium body, light oily texture, carbonation average, mild sweet fruity finish; overall is this a rather shy beer, especially taste and aftertaste are on the flat side and the soap in the aroma is a drawback.

Piwo piją kilka dni po terminie. Uważam, że jest delikatnie przegazowane. Zapach, czysto słodowy bez nut chmielu za to jakby likier śliwkowy. Ładna piana, ktra redukuje się do 1 mm i ładnie oblepia szkło. Kolor mahoniowy. W smaku wyczuwalny alkohol 6,5%, delikatna goryczka i słodowość. Nagazowanie drażni podniebienie podczas picia. Drugi raz po nie nie sięgnę. Moja wina, że piję po terminie.

Tuoksussa kotikaljaa, ruista, alkoholia, humalaa, kitkeryytt. Vaahto pieni kuplainen, katoava, runsaahko. Vri kirkas tumma, lpinkymtn. Maku paahteinen, kahvia, humalaa ei meinaa mausta lyt. Maut puhtaat, mutta vaisut. Suutuntuma pliisu, ohut ja hapokas. Kokonaisuus ei sykhdyttv.

0.33L bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. Aromas of cherry, burnt tire, yeast, chocolate, minerals. Mild sweetness at beginning, hints of chocolate in the middle, finishing with a mild, roasted malt character. Really muted flavor profile. Medium-light body with a thin yet creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Overall, although the beer has a nice flavor profile, the rest is pretty mediocre.

Een bier dat eigenlijk best nog goed meevalt. Ik vond het een leuke verrassing.
