Hazy amber pour with very small off white head. Aroma of yeast, caramel, hay, floral and hops. Taste of yeast, caramel, slight fruits, hint of citrus and slightly hoppy finish. Very thin mouthfeel and lower carbonation. A little dissapointing. DCLawyer (2839) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Draft->short tumbler. Pours dark amber with faint offwhite head. Aroma: caramel malt, spices, dark fruit, yeast. Taste is sweet with spices, yeast, fruit. Subpar. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - MAY 14, 2013
Dark amber body, pillowy nice stable beige head. Fruity aroma with freash yeast, red berries, classic hops, caramel malts, a very decently made brew. Light yet flavourful taste, starts medium bitter and ends m=with a pronouned yet never cloying fruity sweetness. Only the aftertaste is a bit, well, dusty or cheesy or something. Drinks easy enough. Good brew, bit like the Belgian ’Scotch Ale’ style. (33cl bottle from Bierparadijs, labelled Buffala Anno 1907 Ale)) rayOfBeer (674) - El Cerrito, California, USA - APR 26, 2013
Bottle: dark brown with red highlights and a large off-whiye head. Aroma is caramel and malt with a hint of cocoa powder. Flavor is sweet with toffee, a pinch of cocoa, and some mild yeasty spice. Palate is rather thin in the mouth with high carbonation and a candy sweetness throughout. Decent Belgian ale, but many more flavorsome choice out there. redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 17, 2013
Dark fruit aromas. Pours dark amber. A little thin. Light caramel notes with fruit, hints of floral flavors but it’s just missing something.

cereal, grass, dough, black, hazy, frothy, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, thin feel, average carbonation, Caytinator (1005) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2012
33cL bottle. Almost blak color, stable nice big head, good appearance. Light aroma, surprisingly light taste, decent mouthfeel, strong coffee in the aftertaste. Not as much flavor as I’d like. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2012
27th May 2012: bottle at ‘Willow Springs’, an American Way Station in Belgium (don’t ask!).
Dark amber/brown body with a full head of off-white bubbles that tried to stay the distance and almost managed too.
Roasted and toasted malts giving off a chocolate type aroma and taste, dark and bitter chocolate actually, surprisingly dry and un-sweet for the aroma and look it gives.
Went well with my ‘Chilli Beans’, so I had another.
