330mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a large white head. Nose is very effervescent, with lots of Belgian yeast, a champagne-like funk, and light sweetness. Flavour is very similar, with a dry Belgian yeast character, some crisp champagne-like notes, and almost no residual sweetness. Spicy, dry and yeasty in the best of ways. Carbonation is high, but fitting. Much better than I was expecting given the score. Very nice. artemb (1219) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - NOV 17, 2017
Hazy golden, big white head. Gerbeer (4048) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 14, 2017
Complex aroma: wormwood, egg yolk, earthy hop, wet wood.
Bitter with light acidity and light fruity sweetness.
340 ml bottle. Pours a gold amber with huge head and suspended sediment. Aromas of green bananas, fruity esters, and doughy malts. Flavours of fried banana, spice, fruity bubble gum and metallic malts. Oakes (19010) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 10, 2017
Bottle, Legacy. Bright golden colour. Pours with a big head that dies down quite a bit, but still leaves a mountain of foam, and an Orval-like hoodoo. Dry, herbal hops on the aroma, spicy, just a touch of pale malt. On the palate, again the emphasis on spicy. The malts are biscuity, with a hint of toast, and provide a great backdrop to the hop spiciness. Not much alcohol taste - just a hint lending dryness to the finish. Delicate esters. Honestly, this is a nicely put together Belgian golden - refined, balanced, and complex. Hamirubi (595) - Waarschoot, BELGIUM - OCT 26, 2017
33cl bottle at home (26 X 2017), shared with LordZippo. Cloudy, golden coloured brew, quite a lot of vividness, with a towering white frothy collar. The mouthfeel is just velvet-like, even silky, with a dazzling herby character. This bitterness has a great onset for sure. The malty and grassy features are massive, making up for a leafy and dry palate. The alcoholic warming is not that harsh, which is very pleasant in this hoppy golden strong ale. This one has a good bitterness, but lacks the complexity one seeks in a strong Belgian - yet it really has that keen, lovely herby finish. Pretty basic, but with lovely carbonation and ditto hoppiness.

Bottle. Minimal gushing. Clear golden pour with a huge white rocky head. Eternal retention. Aroma: fruity, spicy, grainy. Medium body. Robust sweetish taste. Malts, candy, fruit. Some spices. Grassy medium plus bitterness forms the ending. Good enough. PixelPC (18) - Huy, BELGIUM - JUL 19, 2017
Floral bitter aroma with some malts. Head sinks but lasts a while. Sweet malty flavour. Not too bitter. minutemat (6132) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2017
330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a lightly misty gold, good white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grapefruit, citrus. Taste does indeed veer towards the bitter side, with sweet malts, citrus and pithy grapefruit. Not bad. dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - JAN 31, 2017
A beer that begins very Belgian but also has something extra, especially in its bitterness. Above average.
Bottle from De Zwart in Wilnis.
