one of the most underrated beers. taste is caramel, strong malt and chocolate.a little sugary, but very good beer overall.

ardeo (449) - Flémalle, BELGIUM - APR 4, 2017
Bottle 33.

Medium brown color. Off white head. Big Belgian yeasty nose with a bit of winey character. Thin body for the style not super balanced. Despite how bad it looks for the style and how thin it tastes, it’s not that bad.

Ysok02 (1621) - Mons, BELGIUM - JAN 8, 2017

nocheinbier (52) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2016
From a 330ml bottle. A bit of a disappointment. Pours dark and looks beautiful with a thick foamy head, has a dull aroma if any. First thing that sprang to mind when I tasted it was how fizzy it was. I expected much more taste and substance for a 9% beer. There’s a sweet fruity aftertaste but I couldn’t get much more than that.

guzgorog (879) - FRANCE - NOV 11, 2016

Grumbo (3091) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2016
Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Pours very dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, dark fruits. Medium sweetness, some roasted bitterness, touch of sour. Medium to full body, slick texture, not highly carbonated but fizzy mouthfeel. Dry chalky sweet milk chocolate finish.

nathanvc (537) - Brugge, BELGIUM - OCT 23, 2016
Pours hazy dark brown to black with a frothy tan head. The aroma contains roasted malts, coffee, spices and some chocolate. It tastes medium to heavy sweet and light bitter. Lingering but light roasted finish. Oily texture and soft carbonation. More like a Dubbel than a real Stout, but I’d drink it again anyway.
