Clear golden coloured body with absolutely no head at all. No residue or cloudiness at all - pure clarity. Aroma of bananas, coriander seed, curacao and a lot of wheat - very nice and sweet! Medium-bodied; Strong sugary sweetness of candied bananas with a good malty finish and plenty of banana-y taste. Aftertaste shows nice balance - not incredibly sweet, but not too fake either...suprisingly good for a fruit beer. Overall, I’d recommend this one and especially pass it on to those who love banana flavours. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 14 July 2006

Clear golden with tiny white head. Very sweet aroma with banana and malty notes. Sweet flavour with malt, caramel and banana notes. Finished sweet. Like the strawberry from this brewery it is not over done. Fairly good.

Bottle 25 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Comes as Frubee Banana. Hazy golden with big ugly floaties and a white head. Sweet banana aroma. Light body, completely dominated by sweet banana. No malt feel and no bitterness. 141208

25 cL bottle courtesy of KimJohansen as Frubee Banana. Pours unclear yellow with yeasty sediments and a minimal white head. Dense banana and sweet aroma, artificial. Sweet and cloying banana flavoured. Sweet lasting finish.

Bottle. [Tasting session @ Papsoe] spare fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Clear golden color. Aroma of banana, fruit, mild grain. Over the palate came butter, banana, fruit. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour. Banana sweet finish.

bottle. Not a fan of bananas so probably wont like the beer but had to try. Big big banana aroma. Sweet banana sugary flavor. Probably nice if you like bananas but not for me

8.4oz bottle. Frubee label, which I’ve also seen in Belgium...I’ve never seen it labeled as Van Diest. Pale and light colored, a little murky. Intense artificial/extract banana taste and aroma. Incredibly drinkable, with a creamy sweet finish. Great as a palate cleanser between strong Belgian beers.

Bottle 250 ml
Appearance :cloudy amber gold with some large floaties shown, Rocky ring with weak fizz.
Nose :Aroma of ripe banana with caramel.6-
Flavour/Palate : Thin bodied sweet front with fruity banana like flavours , oatmeal finish. Quiet sweet with decent banana flavour . One dimensional but that what fruit flavored brews often are. Average.

ElJefe (553) - Rochester, New York, USA - SEP 15, 2007
Pale golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of banana and wheat. Flavor dominated by artificial banana, with a sweet and sour thing going on. I’d imagine this is what a banana flavored Sweet Tart would taste like. Nice full, smooth body, however. I’m not sure why I subjected myself to this...

Fantastic! Very sweet, and loaded with banana goodness. I could drink this all day. Is it artisanal? Who cares!
