UPDATED: AUG 15, 2010 250mL bottle purchased from the LCBO, I’m not really sure why. Anyways, pours a decent looking hazy red with a small pink head. The aroma is over whelmingly sweet, like seriousy, seriously, dangerously sweet and fruity. Strawberries to the MAX. Some sour tartness seems to be screaming for attention, but I just really don’t seem to care. It actually smells suspiciously like strawberry jam. Flavour is actually okay. Not as cloyingly sweet as I was afraid it would be. For some reason the first sensory reaction to the stuff being in my mouth is in my nose which sort of tickles (wtf?). Flavour is fruity strawberryness all the way through, but with some wheaty sour tartness in the finish that seems like it just really wants more than anything to add some balance, but just can’t quite do it. Like the little engine that could, but it can’t. Mouth-feel is indistinguishable from pop. As far as a drinkable substance goes it’s actually pretty good, I would just never guess this is actually supposed to be a legite beer. Pairs well with some KD mac n’ cheese, and I think its most redeeming qualtiy is the way it doesn’t make you want to vomit, which in my books is a solid asset. You could actually feed this to your children, in fact, I recommend it. grandgenie (259) - val-des-monts, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 21, 2009
Agaguk (122) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 21, 2009
Bottle shared with Grand Genie. Orange brown hazy apperrence with no lacing and minimal pinkish head. Aroma: strawberry shortcake, peach, cranberries and vanilla. Flavor: maple sirop, salt, rhubarb, strawberries. Palate: soft carbonation, light and sweet. MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - JAN 18, 2009
Got this randomly one day at Rozi’s- not expecting much, and surprise! it’s in the 17th percentile. Aroma is that of strawberry jam and a little bit acidic. Flavor is really sweet, just like juice. There is almost no malt, hops or anything other than fruit noticeable. Yeah, I guess there is some malt in there? maybe? Just too fruity.

Sweet perfumy fruit drink from the start. Nice purplish light pink color. Fun and not strong. Could have a few of these. Likable and repeatable. $4 per bottle. Reminds me of kasteel rouge but a little more well behaved. Borders on fru fru fruity lambic.S8L4F3T8O16 FRULI SaintMatty (7603) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JAN 14, 2009
Draught (Market Porter, London) - Red in colour. Sweet smell of strawberries and ice cream. Sweet, fairly carbonated strawberry taste which is initially very sweet but becomes ever so slightly bitter in the finish. Refreshing. Lowe1983 (1656) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - JAN 13, 2009
Pours an amber/pinkish color with a pink head. Aroma is pretty much all strawberry juice. Flavor is tart with the strawberries. Strange aftertaste that I’m not really a big fan of. Not that good. BiddleBrau (1238) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 8, 2009
Hazy amber/red, with thick cloying white/pink head. Big syrupy strawberry aroma. Flavor is not nearly so as overwhelming as aroma, actually tart. Finishes very clean. Surprisingly refreshing beer that I wasn’t expecting from the aroma. Tartness is very pleasant when combined with sweet aroma. nuplastikk (6508) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 1, 2009
8.4oz bottle. Murky orange-red color. Strawberry soda aroma. Sweetened artificial strawberry flavor dominates, maybe some artificial watermelon as well. I find this to be a pretty good drink actually, very refreshing and unique. Punchy light alcohol aftertaste. A good palate cleanser certainly, but not the best representative of a Belgian fruit beer.
