Fruli is a high quality Belgian white beer blended with pure fruit juice. The strawberry juice compliments the zesty fruitiness of the wheat beer and the result is a natural, soft and refreshing drink that is simply delicious!

Enjoyed from a 11.2 oz bottle in a wine glass. The beer pours a faint ruby/light copper color, with a low white head. The nose shows jammy notes of strawberry, reminiscent of strawberry jelly. Very sweet and seemingly artificial, but not entirely unpleasant. The palate again shows a jammy sweetness up front, strawberries in the mid-palate, and additional sugary sweetness in the finish. Traditional beer flavors, not to mention notes of the base Witbier, do not come through in any detectable manner. Carbonation is nicely calibrated, and serves to lift the flavors from the palate, to some extent. The finish leaves a lingering note of strawberry jam. Overall, a nice dessert beer, but one that would be tiresome to drink in any quantity.

From tap at Mel´s Craft Beers & Dinner. Hazy red color with a white head. Intense aroma of strawberry. Very artificial. Medium body with a medium sweetness. The flavor is again full of artificial strawberry aroma, strawberry bubble gum - nothing else.

Slightly hazy red colour with medium pink foam. Aromas of strawberries, light sweet malt and oat porridge with jam. Palate, light/medium body with thin texture leaving sweet finish. Taste, sweet of strawberries, jam, sweet strawberry candy and has this backbone of milky oats. OVerall, okay, not bad, sweet and a reasonably drinkable fruit beer.

330 ml bottle into pint glass, best before 11/26/2015. Pours slightly hazy reddish/pinkish orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge strawberry jam/jelly, cherry, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Incredible aromas with great balance of strawberries, spices, fruity yeast, and moderate pale malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge strawberry jam/jelly, cherry, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness, yeast spiciness, and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of strawberry jam/jelly, cherry, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible robustness and balance of strawberries, spices, fruity yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/tartness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness from bitter/tartness. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and lightly slick/syrupy balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.1%. Overall this is an insane fruit beer! All around incredible robustness and balance of strawberries, spices, fruity yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly tart/bitter finish. Extremely flavorful for the low ABV. Most of the actual witbier character is lost in the strawberries, but there is a pleasant yeast/spice presence. The level of fruit flavor is just unreal, and insanely jammy. A highly amazing offering, one of the best fruit beer's I've ever had. Very authentic tasting fruit flavor.

Bottle. Bright strawberry aroma with notes of wheat malt and maybe some coriander and orange citrus. Pours cloudy pinkish-red colored with a large reddish-white head that has good retention and excellent lacing. Starts with a huge amount of strawberry sweetness with wheat malt. Finishes smooth with a hint of orange and coriander, but the strawberry sweetness dominates the palate. Pretty nice, except for the strawberry overwhelming all of the other flavors.

(330 ml bottle) Pours a cloudy watermelon-pink beer, with bubbly carbonation, and a thin light-pink head. The aroma reminds me of a picnic, left out too long in the sun: overripe strawberries, mouldy jam, and sugar-glazed brioche. It’s very sweet, and a little acidic, with a fizzy medium mouthfeel. This beer, quite simply, tastes odd. Not too revolting, but not too pleasant either. Too much overripe strawberry, and not enough beer.

This was tried as an experiment. It was quite good, a strong flavour of the white Belgian beer that was overlaid with a taste of fresh strawberries. It had a nice mouth feel and as it was served very cold, it was extremely refreshing. However, by the end of the glass I found the sweetness to be overpowering. A worthwhile experiment, but not to be had in the future.
