75cl bottle with my Belgian father-in-law in Eecke, France. Ive always loved hommelbier so it was interesting how this was going to compare. First off, this definitely has a much lighter, floral taste compared to standard hommel with marked lemon / citrus notes and a lovely dry finish. Exceptional beer, as always.

Pelna paleta piekny zlotawy i jasno pomaranczowy kolor piwa. Metny calkowicie gesa i spora kremowa piana. zapach drozdzowy, bananowy i zywiczny, troche jakby sosnowy. Piekna lakierowana i limitowana butelka. Swiezy chmiel wspaniale wyczuwalny w smaku dominuje nad slodowoscia. Polecam odwaznym piwoszom

75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Procured from ALBO. Hazy, lively orange with a solid white head. Nose is full of floral bitter hops, touch herbs, green noble mainland Europe hops, touch white bread yeast, quite enjoyable. Taste is rich, bitter floral hops, grass, touch honey, white bread, white pepper. Very easy to drink. Great balance, great profile. Really good stuff, total surprise for me, def. delivered more than I was expecting.

Bottle (75 cl) from Etre Gourmet. CLear golden, medium white head. Bready, grainy malt aroma, pepper and bubble gum phenolics with a rubber twist, herbal hops. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Dry with firm bitterness. Wonderful.

Sample from bottle, RBNG 2014 in Halden, Grand Tasting. ABV was 7.5%. Golden to orange colour, large white head. Distinctly spicy and hoppy aroma and flavour. I tasted only about half of the beers available at the Grand Tasting, but this was the "Beer of the Tasting" for me.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, late 2013 bottling. Pours slightly cloudy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, grapefruit, orange zest, pear, pepper, clove, light banana, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops, pale malt, and fruity/spicy yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, grapefruit, orange zest, pear, pepper, clove, light banana, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spice/hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, grapefruit, orange zest, pear, pepper, clove, light banana, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish fora while. Awesome complexity and balance of citrus/earthy hops, pale malt, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly prickly/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome Belgian IPA. All around great complexity and balance of citrus/earthy hops, pale malt, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours hazy orange with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some soapy lacing on the glass. Smell is yeasty and fruity with crackers, peaches, dry soil, hay, white pepper corns, grapefruit juice, pineapple, lemon zest, dried pine needles, papaya and passionfruit. Taste is bitter, fruity and phenolic with crackers, dry soil, hay, grapefruit juice, pineapple, mango, white pepper corns and hints of leather. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry and light bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, grapefruit rinds, hay, white pepper corns, dry soil, leather and unripe tropical fruits. Very pleasant surprise of a beer.

Veldig god l.
