Tasting glass draft @ Van Moll Brewpub. Dark brown amber, solid mocha head (weird for the style, too dark). Nose is metallic spoiled fruit, brown sugar, herbal,… Taste is herbal overripe spoiled fruit, cough syrup, bread, sugar, overripe herbal, overly sweet, herbal,… Herbal thick cough syrup body. Not too crazy about this one, overly sweet, cough syrup,… Not too crazy about it. mmk (44) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 21, 2015
Tap @ van Moll. Unfilterd brown color. Foam not too strong. Strange, ashtray like smell. Tastse suprisingly rich. Malt, fruit, fresh. Slightly sweet. Aftertaste rather malty with hints of hop. Bosbouw (3007) - Gemonde, NETHERLANDS - NOV 15, 2015
Donkere caramelkkeur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zoetig, kruiden, hop. Smaakt zoetig, honing, koper. Raar nasmaakje. caesar (7283) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2014
Tap @ Van Moll, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, short head. Aroma is soft spicy, slight grassy hop, bit citrus, touch of caramel. Bit sweet in taste, slight bitter. Not really dry, but more smooth. Probably because its from tap. Not as fruity and estery yeast bomb as most abbey tripels. Very easy drinker, which can be dangerous. Golden colour, slightest haze, firm white head. Fruity aroma, apricot, acacia honey. Quite sweet sugary flavour, malts, fruity notes. Hefty carbonation, lots of CO2 trying to escape. Fruity floral finish. Nice tripel, bit over-carbonated though.

(from 75cL bottle shared @ Van Moll brewpub, opening weekend)
66cl Bottle shared at Van Moll. Hazy golden colour, huge head. Aroma is quite sweet, spicy, coreander, banana, peach. Flavour is sweet, hint of bread, overripe banana, very fruity, yeast, ok bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Tasty enough, but way too fizzy and over-carbonated, making it hard to drink. Abijen (2571) - ’s-Hertogenbosch, NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2013
Pours an orange beer with a good white frothy head. Smells vommit, yeast, sweet and fruity. Tastes sweet, malts and licorice. Fizzy carbo, medium body and a sticky texture. Benzai (16685) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2013
Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared with Borresteijn and Abijen. Hazy yellow to light orange color, full sized a bit fizzy head. Smell malts, lightly yeasty, lightly orangepeel. Taste malts, again a bit yeasty and orangepeel. Way too high fizzy carbonation, medium body. mike_77 (7089) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2013
A kind of slow gusher with an ever expanding soapy head. Pale blond colour. Aroma of yeast and pale malts. Flavour also has some bready, yeasty notes together with some candy sweetness and light sharpness of grapefruit. Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 13, 2013
Moll: Served in a Van Moll taster:
The foam of this beer seems to come from a chemical experiment, massive and keeps on growing and even comes out of the glass ad that with a light pour.
So there is this big vast snowy white creamy foamy head on top of a hazy orange colored beer.
Aroma has loads of fruit, banana, peach, some prunes, strawberries and
There’s cookies, cream, marzepin, yeast, some sweet hay, grains and alcohol drenched corn.
Flavour is spicy with again lot of fruits, strawberry, peach, apricot, some berries, banana, hay, yeast, grains, cream, slight porridge, light bitter and some (fruity) sweets.
Aftertaste is fruity, bitter, spicy, warm, creamy and porridge.
Medium to full carbo, blown full creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a thick creamy texture.
Very nice, especially since I am not a fan of this style!
